  After driving all day

  This hotel could use some updating but the room that we had was clean and comfortable. The guy on the front desk was very polite and helpful. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Also there is a water slide and swimming pool. We had a good night here and wouldnt mind staying again. The photo is of our breakfast.

  Wont stay again!

  Pool side room #1: dated and could use repair, finished in the pool and hot tub, kids went to shower, the shower head fell apart, the a/c didnt move off of 25, no I didnt have the door open to the pool. Called the front desk, they sent a guy, he couldnt fix either( no extra shower head on site) He said hed get me a table fan, tried to plug it into the table lamp, outlet didnt work. Went to the front desk to change rooms. Pool side room #2: same decor, same issues, leaking shower head(we just didnt touch it for fear it would fall apart too), same problem with the a/c, remained on 24, causing terrible sleeps, table tamp plug didnt work again. Bathrooms are quite small Slamming doors started at 8:30am on weekends. The one and only bonus to this room(132) is that you get a great view from your balcony of where the kids come out of the slide. End note: I will pay more to stay elsewhere next time.

  Dont let the fancy lobby fool you

  If you enjoy a dirty stay with a humid and musty smelling atmosphere then this is the hotel for you. My first red flag was the bathroom floor in our room- filth. sunflower seeds on the ground and a dirty toilet. Shower head did not work properly at all. The musty (almost mold like) smell also filled the hallways and the room we stayed in. It also happened to rain that night and the tin siding hanging off the windows of the building made a loud clanging noise that kept constantly waking us up throughout the night. It works if your looking for a quick place to crash, but if your looking for a nice/ semi decent stay, this isnt it. The hotel and restaurant staff were genuinely kind, which was refreshing.

  Rooms are poor, not clean, customer service is good.

  Check in service was great. The guy was courteous, prompt and great customer service. BUT the rooms....Nope. 1st room, was furnished nice but had a funny smell, kind of stale, mildew, old carpet thing. We open sliding door but it didn't help, the highway was outside our patio door, the cars were loud and we cant keep it open all night. So we asked for another room. 2nd room didn't have the smell, more aged, bathtub was old, yellow and cracked enamel. But were tired (checked in at 6:00) thought its still okay and its only 1 night. Until i found, ahem, semen (cum stains) on the runner that lays on the bed. I was laying on the bed and start to pull off that runner that lay near the foot, when on the end are a few stains. I was grossed out! They send a house man over asap, he looked at it, confirmed our suspicions and apologized. We decided to just check out and got our money refunded, no questions asked. Room was $120/night (not the most expensive but not cheap) and I expect better for that price. The rooms felt more like a $80 value, stayed in a Hotel 8 around Airdrie, AB and it was cheaper, included breakfast and better rooms. Only good thing I could say, was the customer service from guy at front desk was very good.

  Much better than I expected

  Free reading some reviews, I was a little nervous about staying here, but it was great. Our suite was very clean. The decor is a bit dated, and you can see the occasional small cosmetic repair, which actually makes me feel more comfortable, as we have 3 young kids. They absolutely loved the water slides, and there was a staff member cleaning the pool area every time we visited. All the staff were friendly. The heating fan was a bit loud, so we just turned it off and the room was warm enough anyway (outside temp was about minus fifteen celcius). The rooms seem pretty sound - proof. The Internet functioned about as well as it does at any hotel. There's a great area out back for walking the dog. The only reason I didn't score it five stars is that the suite was a bit pricy. But the whole family enjoyed the trip and I hope to come again.
