Excellent hotelAbsolutely worth to stay in. Very nice and helpful host and staff. Nice swimming pool, very quite, good location. If you need something- just ask a host. Shell do everything to make your stay fantastic. Probably, the most comfortable place to stay in Kep.

Staff, Staff, Staff and Manager we Love you, but you should clean the poolThe hotel was very nice! The rooms spacious and clean, the view to the mountain was beautiful and the breakfast was good. The water in the small swimming pool was a pale blue/green colour, and it was not possible to see the bottom. So don't choose this hotel for the pool. But where the Tropical Hill really shines is the extreme friendly and helpsome staff and manager. My wife was sick, and we were offered help, medicine and all kind of good stuff to help get well. We felt very welcome and appreciated.

Wonderful staff and lovely hotel! We booked a room through Agoda for 2 nights and 4 people (2 adults + 2 children - we entered the children's ages to find appropriate accommodation as usual). Unfortunately the booking through Agoda was delayed in reaching the hotel, so when we arrived to check-in the hotel had been fully booked. The lady who runs the hotel was incredibly apologetic (even though she wasn't at fault after she explained the situation in full), and she had booked us a room at a nearby hotel (at her expense). The room she booked for us had one double bed (all other accommodation was fully booked due to the King's birthday weekend) - so she kindly provided an extra mattress from Tropical Hill for us to use. She also offered to pay the tuk tuk driver to drive us down the street (which we declined as we appreciated her efforts in trying to rectify the situation), and she invited us to attend breakfast the next morning. She was incredibly apologetic and very helpful! We managed to stay at Tropical Hill on our second night. Our room was clean, large and lovely. The lady (I believe she is the owner as she runs the hotel) even organised an extra bed for the children. We could see that she felt terrible for what had occurred, and I don't believe many other hotels would go to such lengths to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. Staff were very friendly, the hotel itself is picturesque and well maintained! I highly recommend this facility and can't thank the owner enough for her generosity and kindness! Thank you for a lovely stay! To the owner: I'm sorry I didn't find out your name, but you made our last day and evening in Cambodia relaxing. Thank you also for all your efforts! it was really appreciated!

This hotel is an absolute scam!!My family and I spent 130 dollars a night on this hotel in the belief we were treating ourselves to something special for new year. We trusted the photos, the description on Booking.com and other traveller reviews. For the price we paid, we felt absolutely robbed. Why? - the hotel was located directly on a major road. No mention of this in the description - The pool was filthy and they clearly had no intention of cleaning it. With a young family the pool was a major reason for choosing the hotel. We had to pay a pool fee at another hotel to use their facilities instead. - No 24-hour reception as advertised. In fact the place was mostly abandoned in the evenings and our room key was just left lying on the front desk for anyone to pick up. - No pool bar as advertised - No lunch or dinner available as advertised - The hotel in general was rundown, shabby and poorly maintained. - The hotel is NOT 200m from the crab market it is 950m. Just another example of the false advertising on the booking.com page. There were other issues too such as the broken shower and toilet seat and rock hard bed for my son we had the pleasure of paying 20 extra dollars per night for. Based on other hotels in the region I now know we were paying 130 dollars a night for 45-dollar quality at the very best. In all this experience really spoiled our visit. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

Clean, Comfortable, Great LocationTropical Hill is a small, family-run establishment situated among the lush greenery of Kep. It is conveniently located within walking distance to both Crab Market and Kep Beach. It's a nice 10-15 mins walk to both areas (or a USD1 tuktuk ride away). The room was large and clean, fully-stocked with everything you need from a safe box, to a fridge, hairdryer, coffee making facilities, a kettle, and a free large bottle of drinking water daily just to name a few. Unfortunately when we were there, their chef had just left so the Kitchen and Bar wasn't in operation. Nevertheless, we were still treated to a simple, yet delicious homemade breakfast every morning under the trees overlooking the pool. Before we left, the owner gifted us a large bottle of water for our long journey back to Phnom Penh, which we felt was a pretty nice gesture :). Thanks for the wonderful stay! Highly Recommended!
