Ocean Suite in Club PlawanWe stayed at the Ocean suite in Club Plawan which is another phase of Tri-Shawa Resort. There are 6 units in all, 3 units at the first floor and 3 units on the second floor which can be connected to each other through the balcony. We took the whole 2nd floor so it was pretty private. The rooms itself is nice with separate toilet and bath. Bath consists of bathtub and shower area. Our major problem is that the hot water is not working! and the staff came to help a couple of times but still not functioning properly. the good thing about this resort is that small dogs are allowed with an extra fee, and there is a private beach right in front. However, you need to take the hotel's tuk-tuk vehicle to the phase 1 for breakfast and with a dog, they only let you sit outside, quite far from the restaurant. Food at the hotel is pretty nice but quite expensive. Staff are nice and friendly. oh, another thing: Millions of insects at night.

Okay as One Night Stop-OverWe have been on a bicycle tour as a one night stop-over, therefore it was better than expected. The Welcome Service as well as the resort service people have been all friendly and very helpful. Rooms a nice and modern decorated, balcony is nice to sit and see. Sleep was okay for a night. Dinner and Breakfast was really fun and a great pleasure, wonderful service by the crew. The Beach is terrible between a factory and the Harbour, even there is a offer for a nearby beach by shuttle, but the location for recreation as well as for a quick trip in the city is not perfect. No shops, coffee or massages around at all!

Almost great
Nice hotel on the beach but the beach s not swimable. It s been destroyed by pollution from fishing port nearby. I mean the beach itself is sandy but it has this thick layer of black mud and debries on top of it. I would have given this location a 5 stars if it had a nicer beach.

Old hotelEverythings looks like they are from the 70s or 80s. Design layout, furniture and bedding are old. Breakfast starts late at 7am and even at 7am they are not ready yet and are still preparing. And the coffee machine is down which mean I cannot start my day. As I need a cup of coffee to start my day. There is a better newer and modern hotel just beside it. Would not recommend this hotel.

Top Resort. This is the perfect place for families. The rooms are generous with extra day beds for children. Very clean & stylish. We loved the pool area & the staff were not concerned about our enthusiastic children. Fortunately it was not crowded so the children could swim as much & as often as they wanted. Breakfasts very good at the lovely beach side restaurant. Chinese New Year so we got to experience fire crackers being lit off the boats on the beach.
