  Brilliant Golf Trip

  We spent 4 days (3 nights) at Trethorne Hotel and Golf Club. The accommodation is a tiny bit tired. However the stay was great, the food excellent and the staff were brilliant along with being fully Covid compliant. Very friendly during difficult times. Well done!

  Fantastic Golf Break

  Whilst I have been to this destination numerous times before I thought I should review my most recent trip. I organised a trip for eight of us to play golf and enjoy a short holiday. Covid rules were in place so on arrival there was a sanitizer station at the entrance and signs instructing the wearing of a mask in reception. The entrance to the bar area had a wait to be seated sign and the track and trace cards which had to be filled in prior to going in. Once seated table service was the only way to be served. We had previously organised ourselves into bubbles of four. Every day we were asked to fill in a Menu choice for the evening meal. I have to say that the staff were excellent during the whole of our trip and the food was top class. The accommodation has been recently upgraded and was superb. The golf course was in magnificent order with difficult rough for the out of position shots and the greens were difficult to read and quite quick. All in all a fair test of ability. CONGRATULATIONS to Trethorne for a top class effort. I highly recommend this destination. 5 Stars

  Couples overnighter

  A quick couple of rounds with accommodation and dinner B and B was required. We were meant to go abroad , but stayed at home. Good choice, great decision. We all enjoyed the course, challenging but fair. The rooms were superb, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Even had a 55 inch flat screen tv. The clubhouse and surrounding terraces are great, service is impeccable, and the food was superb. All in all, a lovely overnight stay with plenty of food, wine, golf and beer, what more could one ask for? Give it a go, dont think youll be disappointed.

  Excellent

  Only stayed one night but we were really impressed with this place..room was bright spacious and clean ..food and drink in restaurant was lovely ;staff were friendly efficient and helpful..good selection on breakfast menu served by cheerful waitress..will certainly be returning..

  Rude staff

  Me and my friend played a round of golf on saturday 5/12/2020. The course was in ok shape for this time of year though a little tough with tight fairways. When we got back to the club house and tried to enter the bar via reception a memeber of, i assume, higher staff challenged my friend as he had no mask on. We apologetically started to explain he had forgotten it then the staff member began to berate us for not reading the sign and being stupid for not seeing it. I found this unnecessarily agresive and rude. They immediatly ruined the experiance for us and we will not be back to the golf club again.
