  Three of us regularly do long walks around Walpole. We stay at the Tree Top Motel. It is without doubt the cleanest and most comfortable motel any of us have ever stayed at. If the restaurant open, the food is excellent. The lady who runs it is an amazing character. Get to know her. Well worth while. A really top notch place. We LOVE it. And Walpole.

  Ok for one night

  Stayed here for one night on a road trip. The positive things are the room was large and clean. It is within walking distance to the cafes. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. The negative aspects were not being able to check in half an hour early despite a six hour drive. This was in a relatively empty motel. We were summarily dismissed to come back at 2. This apparently is non negotiable. I had read the restaurant and bar in the hotel was shut and this was still the case but on a Saturday evening I expected a couple of places to be open. This was not the case it was like a ghost town. We luckily managed to find a motel within 10 mins walk with a bar and restaurant. While the beer choice was limited the wine and food were excellent. The locals were very friendly. Going back to the Motel the tv reception was sporadic and I had the worst nights sleep due to the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and the accompaniment of loud snoring from the next room. All in all you get what you pay for so ok for one night.

  Well its not Bali is it?

  Four nights. One water outage. One power outage. No room service for three days. Had to ask for extra card to keep fridge going. We know it is not a luxury venue but this stuff is a hospitality no brainier. Please WA get your act together. We are a captive audience at the moment. Ripping us off for crap facilities might give you short term profit but make no mistake as soon as we are set free we will never come back.

  Fairly Average for the price

  Room was clean which was great but there is absolutely no sound proofing between rooms, its crazy! I woke up at 6am to the sound of someone in the next room boiling the kettle! Also, all the electricity switches off when you leave and have to take the one key we were given. Trying to keep baby bottles at safe temperature was a challenge. Lady at reception wasnt rude but wasnt particularly pleasant/welcoming either.

  Customer service nightmare

  Get away to relax and the customer service from the woman at front desk was disgusting. Not a smile or a welcome, just a blank face. Handed keys over and turned her back. Lacking any friendly country welcome and information. Just couldn't be bothered like we had disturbed her in some way! Not enough cutlery or plates for how many booked (only one fork), no big plates, toaster didn't work. Sign saying wash your own dishes, not very hygienic I think ! Brown stain on one of the towels, TV was a nightmare. Thankfully every where else we went in Walpole the customer service was wonderful, friendly and helpful.Like you expect anywhere you go.
