  Comfortable stay and great staff

  We arrived after a 3 hour drive for a 1 night stay in a family room. Check in was easy thanks to a member of staff called Malcom who made sure we could get parked in the car park, which was already very full. We left our phone charger in the suitcase in the car and Malcom assured us that he would be able to source one if we couldnt find it. Top class service I have to say. The room was basic, clean but comfortable. I would say the bathroom is in need of an overhaul however. The room was facing on to the busy road but the noise could only be heard when the window was open. There was a fan provided in the room, which meant the window could be shut without the room becoming too stuffy. You know what you are getting with a Travelodge, but the service in this one makes it one notch above the rest in my opinion.

  No complaints at all, amazing hotel with friendly staff

  We choose to stay at this hotel for a birthday weekend, was highly impressed with the room. Plently of space, very clean and good for the money! The staff on security, Paul and Eddie, were absolutely amazing. Some of the kindest people we have ever met, they looked after us and ensured we were safe. Eddie in particular had helped us girls as a man was following us, he came out the back and stood with us. This effort cant go unnoticed. Anything could of happened if they werent there so we appreciate them so much. Will definitely be booking up to come again, enjoyed our weekend so much and the security staff topped our weekend off!! 10/10, no complaints.

  Great stay

  Stayed on a Friday night and checked in after 4. Checked in person was excellent and very friendly. The room was on first floor, room 104 and was very clean and spacious double room what could be easily used as a family room. The en-suite had a small bath in as well as a shower. Was ideal location as Sunderland town centre was only a few minutes walk away. Would definelty could back to the hotel. Also 12pm check out was ideal so we could keep our belongings in room before we left. Leaving hotel a friendly worker checked all was okay with our stay as well.

  Hotel has everything in place for Covid which puts you at ease hand santisier stations in convienent places track and trace bar code which was easy to scan My Room was lovely and warm on arrival and hotel was clean and no noise from other guests.

  Feel at home

  Stayed here a few times recently and had a brilliant experience. Rooms immaculate, bed so comfortable and staff excellent in every way. Malcolm on front desk especially helpful and kind. Feel safe here as a lone woman. Also incredible value. Will be back.
