  Broad St Sheffield Travelodge

  Great location, close to bus, train and tram stations and the heart of the city. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and very friendly staff. There was construction noise on my second night and the staff moved me immediately.

  Stay during Covid-19

  It wasnt mentioned anywhere when booking or check in that the rooms wouldnt be cleaned, bedding/towels changed etc. Our bin didnt even get emptied and we were there for a 3 night/4 day stay. I went and queried this with the Receptionist who advised me it was due to Covid-19. But as stated above we were not made aware of this prior to our stay or at check in. I had to empty the bins myself in the end and go for more toilet rolls.

  The staff were lovely and the room very clean.

  Overnight stay as we had an early appointment at the hospital nearby. Receptionist booked us a taxi for 8.30am which unfortunately didn't turn up however her colleague on reception that morning chased them up stressing the importance of our journey and one arrived soon after.

  Excellent Hotel

  Travelodge are the cleanest hotels in the UK. Absolutely spotless every time which gives me real piece of mind and comfort. This includes the ultra clean beds which have a hygienic hard surface headboard and bright linen showing off their cleanliness. Very hygienic bathrooms with bright hard surfaces and sealing all around the floor edge showing that no dirt can get in from underneath. This Travelodge is my current favourite with its very spacious rooms and good Restaurant. I also found the most welcoming staff. Multi storey car park next door 24 hours with a generous discount from Travelodge. Clear views of the city from the room. Location as always is excellent, 2 minute walk to the shops such as Greggs and Poundland and Subway. 5 minute walk to Train Station and the City Centre. Michelle on Reception was most welcoming with her friendly chat and very helpful! I was made to feel so valued as a customer at Reception. Also my electricity went off early in the morning before breakfast and i asked Michelle if she could help as i arrived for breakfast and she herself went straight up to fix it in seconds! I later found out it was caused by me as my charger was faulty. She was also very professional as she took on the Restaurant while i had breakfast. She also wished me well on departure. Michelle is a real credit to Travelodge.

  BEWARE NOT COVID SAFE

  I turned up to this hotel and bought a room for the night at reception. The reception looked dirty, un-clean and smelly. Either way, it was cheap. On my way to my room I noticed sick in the lift and human excrement all over the walls. I did not check into my room and left the hotel immediately. I was very sure that this hotel was a Covid disaster. Unclean, un-sanitised and unsafe. I was captured on the cameras leaving 4 minutes after checking in. I asked for a refund. They denied and paraphrasing they basically said Tough luck you absolute mug. We have your money now sucker. Unlucky hahah. I went through their customer services and they were no help. They said once youve paid, no matter if you change your mind, we will financially rape you to within an inch of your life. Bite the pillow. Do not use.
