  Wasnt happy

  The room smelt of damp, bed very uncomfortable and traffic noise. I mentioned to receptionist the room wasnt nice when first arrived. She stated if you cant stand it come back to me. I opened the windows for a few hours and put up. Spent 3 nights at same place last week and had a good experience but clearly not this week. This room was not the same quality.

  Very clean and comfortable

  Lovely comfortable king size bed with thick fluffy pillows for very good 3 night stay. The room and bathroom were very clean clean with endless hot water and powerful overbath shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in a box was continental style with lots of items and was more than adequate. All in all a very pleasant stay.

  Decent stay

  We stayed here on a recent trip to the Scottish Borders from the south coast as it made a useful part way overnight stop each way. We had a warm welcome from the staff member on duty that night. The room was comfortable. It was a bit cool in the room but the electric panel heater worked perfectly. Everything was clean, including the bathroom. We didn't sleep well but I can't blame the hotel for that as the bed was comfortable and the hotel quiet. I'm a light sleeper but even I thought the noise from the A1 was quiet, despite the proximity. We were there for two nights but there's no housekeeping due to Covid. Which was fine with us as we really didn't want anyone in the room whilst we were there. A surprisingly good stay. And dog friendly like all the Travelodge chain.

  Great place to stay

  Easy reach of several scenic spots. helpful staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, great price and close to places to eat and shops. Some nearby shops give a 20% discount if you show your room key. Would def stay again.

  Being let down by head office

  Due to stay at the start of May but it is now clear this is not possible in line with the goverment guidelines. I have contact travelodge only to be told you will have to wait for us to contact you . As a customer who has taken the time to get in touch I would of thought travlelodge should of made an effort to resolve my the issues aspa . I understand there are a lot of people with booking and would of understood being told it may take a few day to get back to you but to be point blank told you have to wait for us to get in touch unacceptable . You can't just wash your hands of a problem as it doesn't suit you . All I was asking for was a voucher so I could change my booking befor the cost of the room sky rockets Sadly based on other reviews it looks like when they do desside that they want to help i will not be able to get a refund only a voucher. Would much rather have the money to book a Premier Inn. Never had an issues with there service
