  Lovely hotel with very helpful staff

  Stayed here for work purposes for 2 weeks. Hotel rooms were very clean and tidy. Regular cleaning was taking place and extra covid measure were in place which made me feel very safe. Staff was limited due to restrictions and even though there was only one person on at any one time, nothing was to much trouble for them and they were always on hand to help. An extra special thank you has to go out out to Donna for contacting me when I left my sweater and charger in my room!

  Friendly staff, clean basic hotel

  Receptionist was very happy and friendly. We stayed here for a stop over after spending the day at Alton towers. The hotel is seemed quite new, very clean and bright. The rooms are basic but everything we needed was there. Tea and coffee facilities, hot shower. Would recommend for a one night stay, nothing special but nice.

  Excellent value

  Stayed as I have done before in this hotel excellent value friendly staff a great nights sleep in a very clean room. The carpets could do with a update but for £29 can you get better. Many thanks for a lovely stay in a very convenient location.

  Bland Hotel

  What can I say about this hotel. Firstly, upon checking in, I had to make a phone call to the duty manager to come check me in as he had left the reception to go do a job on another floor. I can understand that they have a skeleton team working there but I think its a little unprofessional that there was no member of the team on the ground floor for any of the guests. Within 4 minutes the manager came out of the lift and checked me in. As I was heading to my room on the fourth floor, one of the maids noticed I was struggling to get through the door with my luggage and gave me a hand. It was very nice of her to help me and she was very polite. The room it self was ok. It had a nice view of the cricket ground but compared to other hotels within the area and price bracket. I have stayed with a premier inn in the local area on a previous trip which offers a better sized room, wardrobe space, bigger and better bathroom plus a better quality of tv in the room. The shower in the bathroom seems to have weak power compared to other hotels shower system. I did try to bring this up at reception but yet again there was no member of staff on the desk and didnt want to wait around for a staff member to just log it. On the Tuesday evening, I wanted to get some cash out of a ATM and I went to ask at the front dest. The lady behind the dest was sitting there chatting to someone on her mobile phone and when noticed I was waiting to ask where the local ATM was told who ever she was on the phone with hold on I got somebody to serve. I got no apology from the young lady. She only knew of one local one which charged for service. I thought her behaviour was a little rude. Throughout my trip, the heating in the room was not efficient. Would set it to highest setting yet would only warm the room instead of properly heat the room up like needed during the cold nights. I had to leave the heating on 24/07 just to keep the room warm for me. The machine in the lobby was not stocked with drinks and a couple of the snacks were stuck. Not sure why it had not been topped up and sorted on a regular bases. The hotel could be great if travelodge looked at the competition in local area and what they offer for the same price.

  Great stay

  Great stay, good value for money! Friendly staff, very clean spacious room with comfortable bed. No complaints. Great location . Thoroughly recommend for business trips. Good Covid-19 safety measures.
