Perfect half-term break! This is a great little hotel in the perfect location to explore Christchurch and the surrounding area. There is a cheap car park directly behind the hotel (Saxon Square car park) and even cheaper one about a 10 minute walk away (Willow Way). I'd recommend downloading the Ringo app then you can easily top up payments as you need to. Christchurch has so many great restaurants and bars, we stayed for 5 days and didn't get round to all the ones we wanted to try. Definitely recommend The Boathouse, The Ship (great Thai food) and The Cuckoo for breakfast. The walk through the Priory graveyard at night was a great Halloween treat!

AverageWas a little difficult to find at first as its a short walk down an alley from the nearest pay and display car park (ideally prefer free parking but guess its due to location, but signs from parking to hotel could have helped). Views from the window not perfect (a fence panel, but bodes well for privacy). Slightly rundown, some furniture worn, holed, as with a few blemishes in the walls and fittings in the bathroom a bit loose (soap dispenser came off the wall when i tried to use it). But yes its a travelodge and it does what it says on the tin so to speak. Its in a good central location, the beds, as always, are uber comfortable and you get a great nights sleep. Guess the fence blocks out road noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in these covid times. Hotel clean, coffee and towels replenished etc. In summary: Good location for town, parking a bit of a pain, especially if you dont have the app as have to keep going back to add more time, no thrills stay but a good night sleep, staff were great.

Cancelled due to Lockdown but never received a refundI cancelled my booking as the UK was going onto a second lockdown. I looked thoroughly through the terms and conditions for this, and it said that any books that are affected by the 5th November lockdown will receive a refund (for a saver booking you will receive a voucher). I have tried to call and email many times but I never received an email. During these hard times we have had this year you would think they would be kind enough to give a refund/voucher. I will be pushing this further go get answers.

Nothing to not like (Except Parking)Small but very clean room with TV/Tea Coffee etc and superb shower and comfy bed - Staff were exceptional - Helpful/Professional/ and very friendly - Only reason for not giving 5 Stars (Nothing to do with the Hotel) was parking is behind the Hotel in a very seedy car park with a walk down a very dim lit alley to Hotel Entrance - Car Park itself is poorly lit as well and quite isolated - Would stay again but would look for a different place to park,
