  Hi all at Travelodge thank for a lovely one stay food very nice and room spotless Staff very nice helpful with any problem And nice to relax at the hotel as it was rain and well done on keep us safe at this. Bad time cheers Antony bodley

  Clean hotel

  Hotel is a good location not to far from the sea facing Blackpool fc ground and lots of parking. All the hotel was very clean and room was smelling fresh when we arrived, only bad point dont really see people on reception people wait a while at the desk but over all a good cheap place to stay for all blackpool

  Clean Enough Hotel Badly Let Down By Food and Heating

  It's a Travelodge, so you know the room is going to be clean and comfortable enough without being anything to exceed your expectations. However, there were two things that really disappointed us. Firstly, the food was atrocious. We stayed for three nights and had our evening meal in the hotel on the first night. We wished we hadn't, it was the worst meal we have ever had the misfortune to go out and pay for. Both my wife and I had chicken tikka masala. This 'curry' was more like water and my wife had only four chunks of chicken in hers. We don't expect fine dining in a Travelodge, but we do expect food that you are able to eat. We also ordered a portion of chips on the side... look at the picture to see what you get for your £2.99! When we complained about this, we were told this is what the Travelodge portion size is. To give the staff credit, they did bring us extra chips and gave us a part refund (our daughter ate her meal). Secondly, the heater in our room. We needed one. It was end of October half term and the weather in Blackpool was terrible - rain, high wind and therefore feeling cold. As soon as we got in the room, we turned the heater on... but felt like we got nothing. We gave it a few minutes and still nothing. We eventually got some warmth out of it about 15 minutes after turning it on, at which point I was in reception to bring up the issue. Even so, the room still would only get lukewarm despite leaving the heater on it's maximum setting all day for all our time there. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly enough. The location is fine, just off the main road towards town from the end of the motorway right opposite Blackpool's football ground and about a 5 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. One thing we have learned from this experience is to never, ever eat at a Travelodge.

  Reliable Travelodge opposite football

  The Travelodge South is an ideal location if you were going to match at Blackpool FC as the Seasiders Bloomfield Road stadium is exactly across the road. Just two streets off of the Southern end of the Promenade, July 2020 restrictions were in operation for our stay but it has all you expect from a Travelodge including ample car parking, on several floors with lifts. Suspect on balance that other than football North of the Centre / Tower is better to stay at, but a good nights sleep within walking distance of the Promenade is not without its merits ...dog friendly of course !

  I stayed here for 2 nights in September midweek, and it was pretty comfortable. I booked last minute, so paid £49 a night, but the room was comfy, clean and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed my stay.
