Property well kept, stayed in #311Wife and I were upgraded to Unit #311 at Trails End on a recent trip to Breckenridge, after we were originally booked at Breck Inn. It was definitely a good upgrade! The property is in a perfect location just off Village Way. We didn't ski on this latest visit, but we could tell lifts were within walking distance as people were walking with all their gear toward Peak 9 on the two mornings we were there. My favorite was the two hot tubs; one inside and one outside, but both right next to each other. It's great to have the choice. Changing rooms are located up the staircase that shares the indoor hot tub room. They are not marked so you just have to wonder what's up those stairs. Two changing rooms with showers are located up there. There is also a sauna, which I'm not going to talk about since I'm not a fan, but I know people do like those things for some reason. As I said in the title, we had Unit #311. It is a 1-bedroom condo with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. There is also a full kitchen with everything you need to make meals...except for cooking spray. Be sure to buy cooking spray when you go to City Market to buy food if you plan on making meals in the condo. This particular condo has seen a partial upgrade in decor. The kitchen has been fully upgraded with new flooring and cabinets! The dishwasher and range all appear to be older and the microwave appears to be new. I did bring this to the property company's attention that the refrigerator was starting to go on the fritz. The freezer worked just fine, but the fridge area only got cold-ish even on the highest setting. Hopefully this got fixed after we checked out and the next renters checked in. The rest of the unit hasn't seen any upgrades since, quite possibly, the 80s! It is 100% carpet even in the bathroom and the carpet definitely needs replacing. While the TV in the living room is new, there is still a very old CRT TV in the bedroom. The fireplace worked very well and is the primary source for heating the condo. All the units in this building have very good size balconies and ours had a table with chairs. Trails End is a nice place, easy walking to the lifts and easy walking to downtown. Bus lines also pass right by the building. It's one of those places where parking once and doing everything is a definite possibility.

Perfect locationWe stayed in P9 which is a 1bd, 1bath on the 6th floor with views of the mountains. The building was very quiet and location is excellent whether you walk down the back sidewalk to the ski lift or front entrance for a short 2 block stroll to Main Street. The kitchen was stocked with the necessities to cook with and the queen bed was very comfortable. There is also a new smart tv with high speed Internet in the living room, DVD player, gas fireplace, and sleeper sofa. Next time we stay in Breckenridge, I will definitely stay here again!

Trails EndWe stayed at Trails End Condominiums on our trip to Breckenridge and we could not have been happier. We stayed in unit 116 which was updated, tastefully decorated and very well appointed. You could definitely tell that the owners put a lot of thought into this unit and it was in great condition. By the entrance there is an area full of storage baskets and hooks to store all of your layers, gloves, hats, etc that you need for the Colorado winter. The kitchen had a full range of pots, pans and utensils with nice appliances. The bathroom had a heated floor which was a great touch. We primarily chose to stay here based on the proximity to Peak 9. It was so nice to be able to walk out the back of the building and be right at the chair lift. Walking in ski boots isnt fun and the location keeps that to a minimum. It was also very nice to be able to stop for lunch and warm up in the comfort of your unit. We also loved the proximity to Main Street and being able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. We visited during the running of the santas and tree lighting event which was a blast. Everything about our stay at Trails End was great and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Breckenridge, Colorado.

4 day weekend ski tripWe rented condo #218 through VRBO and Great Western Lodging, the location was perfect, walking distance to town and convenient ski in and out. The bed in this unit however was very uncomfortable, and hot water ran out quickly in the shower. The hot tub was also tiny and always crowded. We rented through Great Western Lodging and would not recommend them. Poor communication, ridiculous cleaning requirements, and more poor communication will result in me avoiding them in future rentals.

Greedy rental company at Trails End - Great Western LodgingI called and emailed Great Western Lodging to formally cancel our spring break ski rental at Trails End unit #212 the day before I was supposed to check in once I heard that all ski resorts had been shut down along with all schools, events, and municipalities in Summit County. Great Western Lodging will not issue me any kind of refund or even a credit toward future travel. Greedy and unprecedented profiteering. I am shocked, appalled and dismayed at the shameful business practices of Great GREEDY Western Lodging.
