  Very good, very reasonable, business hotel

  My Nigerian Colleague chose the Trafford Hotel for me over the downtown alternatives. Although Trafford is out in the pleasant and quiet Gwarimpa district, about 10 KM from the center of Abuja, the positives significantly outweigh the extra travel time. First, the staff is excellent. They truly seem to care about their guests. Whether checking on an appointment, purchasing a power supply or introducing me to a local person who had lived in the US, they did an excellent job. Second, the hotel is new and in excellent condition. My room was very comfortable with excellent lighting, a good television, a firm bed and plenty of power outlets. Only poor lighting in the bathroom was not up to western standards. Third, the small restaurant served good, reasonably priced food. Whether eggs and toast for breakfast or Nigerian pepper soup for dinner, each dish I ate was well made. There is also a small but pleasant bar, and a good fitness center to help work off the calories. I will be planning to stay at the Trafford in Abuja again.

  Not bad!

  Stayed here for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised throughout my stay. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, there is a convenience store next door with all sorts of knock knacks. It is small but it more than gets the job done. Mini fridge in rooms, AC, hot water, desk in room, small areas to congregate on each floor, lots of chairs in your room too to host guests. Speaking of, security is good. No non-guest gets past the front desk without a call to the guest they are visiting. Only compliant? There is internet, but you need an MTN account to access it. Not convenient for a non-Nigerian who doesn't have access or time to set one up.

  Good Launch Point for Business Travel

  This medium-priced hotel is well sited for business travels. Located on Second Avenue Gwarimpa, has a hospital, barber shop, a corner shop, a medium sized mall, an exotic hangout with barbecue, a car wash, a business centre and many more useful locations within reach. It is also 2 minutes from a major highway leading to Central Area of Town. It's services are good too, though a bit costly. It is still a good bargain for a brief business visit without your car, except you don't mind parking outside the fence as shown in the picture.

  Consistent Hospitality.

  Trafford Hotel is located in a prime location in the biggest residential estate in Western Africa. They have been consistent in their services and keeping their environment/ambience very welcoming. This Has contributed to their frequent high occupancy rate.
