    New and clean

(The name of this hotel spelled Toyoko Inn Hashimoto-eki Kita-guchi on the Toyoko Inn website, so apparently there is a a spelling mistake in the hotel name on this site) I would recommend this hotel, if you need a hotel in Hashimoto. It's just a five minute walk away from the station and has a supermarket and several restaurants right next to the hotel. Between the station and the hotel there is a shopping complex and there is also a department store nearby. Even though this hotel is a bit far away from downtown Tokyo, the Keio line train to Shinjuku takes less than 40 minutes (one-way ticket price is 430 yen), if you take an express and transfer to a semi-special express at the Chofu station, so visiting Tokyo is also quite easy. The hotel is quite new and very clean. The deluxe twin room was big enough for two persons with two queen beds, a desk and a sofa group. The bathroom was small and seemed like a plastic module, but it served its purpose well. The room cleaning takes place every day between 10 am and 4 pm. Instead of cleaning the room at once, they do it in phases so that the cleaning takes the whole six hours. At 10 am they come to open all the room doors and then they start working all the rooms phase by phase. On the days we hadn't left our room by 10:20 am, they called us. Well, it was no problem to ask them to start cleaning our room later. Also on some days we asked them not to clean the room at all and on those days they left us new towels in a plastic bag. The hotel is mainly aimed for the Japanese and I saw only one other western guest during my two-week stay. The English skills of the front desk varied depending on who was there. The day we arrived we were a bit unlucky, since there were only front desk clerks who couldn't understand spoken English. After all, they asked us to write what we wanted, because one them could understand written English. The breakfast is Japanese-style. It is simple with rice balls, miso soup, toast and some side dishes that vary daily. To drink there is only tea, coffee and water. The loyalty program of Toyoko Inn is a bit different from the typical western ones. They have an annual membership fee of 1500 yen, but as an immediate benefit for members they offer a 20% discount on the room price on Sundays and 5% on other days. If you're staying a bit longer, you'll save more than the membership fee already during the first stay. You can only enroll at the front desk. For us, they offered it already when checking in.

Great place to stay in Hashimoto

Very nice hotel that is a short walk to many restaurants, shopping malls, and the JR station. The staff is extremely friendly even though there was a language barrier (I speak English). The rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast is served every morning and has a lot of variety. Overall a very good place to stay.

    Good business hotel

Hotel is in good location very close to Sagamihara railway station and a number of places to eat. Rooms are compact, but clean and function. I did not eat hotel, menu was very Japanese. Generally had breakfast at McDonalds Overall hotel is good value for money.

    One night stop over

Very clean and basic Japanese hotel, booked a twin room which has two single beds, not a bad size when considering a Japanese hotel. Very clean, good shower hot (always a necessity) breakfast very basic but still ok, would stay again no problem. Prices very reasonable.

    Typical japanese hotel

I enjoyed staying here! They're incomparable to our hotels in the Philippines. There's no need for you to ask them to clean the room which I appreciate so much. The staff are friendly and they always make sure that your needs are attended. Plus they have free breakfast--japanese style!
