  Good value handy hotel.

  This hotel was easy to book with very communicative respondents and very clean, warm, cosy rooms. Complimentary breakfast.. Yum. Fukuoka is a lovely little town and Sumo Tournament was awesome!!!

  Excellent value

  The standard is good. The hotel has everything I need at an excellent price. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is located reasonably close to the underground and close to lots of restaurants. I went to Fukuoka to watch the Sumo basho in November 2012. I enjoyed my stay very much.

  depending on what you expect

  I was there for business and had to stay three nights at the Toyoko since everything else was full. let's just say I probably wouldn't mind on a budget holiday. probably. the aircon didn't work but somebody from the staff helped and finally it was ok - however, as every Japan-traveler knows, you're lost in translation wherever you are since nothing is written or communicated in English. I was disappointed, it was not what I expected and needed to relax after busy days. WiFi didn't work properly, TV was ridiculously small, there was a 'cheap motel' feeling - but the service was nice. at least the one person who spoke English... considering the price, I'd recommend to find something else. The location is very good though.

  A nice surprise for me!

  I stayed there for 3 nights at the end of April before and after going to the hot spring hotels. I was sceptical when my friend suggested staying at this hotel (sorry for being a snob) as I had never stayed in any budget hotels before. It turned out that I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. The location was very central and convenient. The room though small which is expected of Japan but it had everything one needs and it was very clean. I even liked the Japanese styled breakfast every morning which was complimentary. We even had the option of not having our rooms cleaned every day (but changing the towels) to save a few more bucks. The value is unbeatable. I think I will stay there again next time when I go to Fukuoka.

  Small rooms but OK

  We choosed the Toyoko Inn because it was nearby the trainstation and nearby the airport. It is a hotelchain most for bussinesspeople. Not easy to book. Rooms are clean and small, but everything you want, you can find it. Breakfast is included in the price and has Japanese items. Not a special good breakfast. But it works. Owners asked for a taxi early in the morning. Correct prices.
