  Wonderful Hosts and Accommodation

  What a beautiful 16th century farmhouse. Authentic on the outside, with all modern comforts indoors. Jean and Nigel were perfect hosts and Nigel's breakfast was superb. Nice garden to sit out in, weather permitting and a lounge if it did not. Tea and coffee making facilities and even a small fridge in the ensuite rooms.

  Wonderful welcome once again!

  The wonderful couple Jean and Nigel, made me and my little westie feel right at home as ever. The room was clean, everything. The breakfast was freshly cooked by Nigel on the aga. If you have any issues the delightful couple would assist, nothing was a bother. You would not believe the guest ouse was by a busy road, as it is so quiet. There are parking spaces vailable within the grounds. There's a lovely garden at the front, with benches where you can sit. Me and my dog have stayed at this guest house 4 years running and would definitely recommend it.

  Lovely stay

  Thank you Jean and Nigel for a lovely stay . Spotlessly clean . Covid restrictions fully implemented . Lovely breakfasts . This B and B is situated up the hill easy walk down into town . The bus stops outside the B and B very convenient . We spoke to people who have returned as its so lovely . We will be back ! Andy and Jayne xx

  Extremely rude landlady

  On arrival the landlady looked me up and down and grunted what is your name - there was no warm friendly greeting or introduction - I still dont know her name. She delighted in telling me I was not entitled to breakfast as I had booked through booking.com and if I wanted it I would have to pay an extra £6. I think she was peeved that I was staying for one night only. She gave me the impression she could not be bothered with me. The facilities were clean and tidy but unfortunately first impressions count and I definitely would not stay here again. You should treat all guests as if they matter. Having booked through booking.com and knowing I would not get breakfast they made no attempt to contact me prior to my visit to explain. I will also be making a complaint to booking.com. As a solo traveller I was made to feel small. Horrible experience and mean landlady

  Lovely hosts, great accomodation

  Thankyou so much for squeezing our family in at short notice. We were made to feel so welcome, the rooms were spotless and the Covid procedures were so reassuring.The rooms were lovely with everything you needed and the beds very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was gorgeous and set us up for a day of adventure. A real home from home. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
