  Great Stay

  I am a local and during the most recent heatwave took advantage of the weekend rate...I couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Most importantly the room was clean, well equipped and perfect as a get away. I appreciated the the full size coffee pot and fridge which allowed me to bring my own coffee and drinks for my stay. There are many chain restaurants near by, but once I was settled into my cool AC room I didn't want to leave and I settled in for the evening, and was actually able to login to my Netflix account and watch movies...It was a great stay and next time I need a "break" I will take a mini vacation here..

  The best low price range hotel I've ever stayed at

  TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Mateo Foster City was surprisingly good. It was so spacious (unlike other Bay Area hotels), pretty new and clean, and quite and safe. The best thing was that a full kitchen was equipped. Various restaurants, coffee shops, and supermarkets were just around corner. Easy access to highway 101 but still avoided noise.

  Immaculate room, great breakfast, outstanding front desk

  We are locals that needed a hotel with AC due to the poor air quality from the Bay Area fires. Wendy at the front desk was very helpful and understanding. She was able to check us in early to a very nice room. She had a busy front desk to manage and was very efficient and pleasant. Thanks so much. This is a pretty new hotel with all suites. We stayed 2 nights in a beautiful large 2 bed room with full kitchen. Everyone was wearing masks and the surfaces were immaculate. Employees were constantly wiping down surfaces. Beds were very comfortable and TV even had free Showtime. Was surprised they put out a full breakfast with all items individually wrapped, even the bananas. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

  Very Pleased!

  I stayed here for work for a couple of weeks and was very pleased with my experience. Pros: Staff was very pleasant and accommodating, rooms were comfortable and very clean, tasty free breakfast, gym, short walk to the office Cons: Only thing I can say is a con is I wish there was a pool! Also, some rooms, you can hear the traffic from the highway near by. Wasn't too much of an issue though! Thanks for a great stay during my time away from home!

  Studio 2 Queens - Slightly Too Small For Extended Stay

  My family had to evacuate from the CZU Lightning wildfires. I didnt know how long wed be evacuated for, so I needed a place with a kitchen plus wi-fi for work and distance learning. Too bad none of the 2-bedroom suites were available, I could only reserve a studio with 2 queen beds. For a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 middle/high schoolers), this would be a fine room if you needed a place to sleep for the night and were out all day. However, if you needed to stay in the room and work, its too small. (One person was working with their laptop on one bed, one person on the other bed, one at the table and one on the armchair, not to mention suitcases everywhere). Unfortunately, after a couple of days, we decided we needed a bigger space for our extended stay and went elsewhere. However, there are many pluss about this hotel room: - good enough shelf space in the bathroom - clean - decent-sized closet - free breakfast and kids liked the waffle machine - walking distance to Habit Burger, Panera, and MOD pizza - close driving distance to Target I was surprised that the fitness room was still open (because COVID is still a thing) and went to use the treadmill, however, I didnt stay long as the other people in that small room were not wearing face masks. Hopefully we will never have any more fire evacuations (PS my house is fine, our town was spared from the fire) but if we ever needed a reason to spend a few days in San Mateo, I would come back here, just to the bigger 2-bedroom suite, not the studio.
