  our recent stay

  We usually stay at this hotel on our way to Florida. This hotel is nice and they have a free breakfast. We stayed on the first floor and it was very quiet. There is plenty of places to go to around Rock Hill.The internet was free.

  One word .... Avoid!!

  Why? 1. I booked this hotel on the Marriott Bonvoy Website specifically asking for an accessible room for my husband. We got there and there was not one available. We couldnt change hotels because we had our dog (there is not many hotels that accept pets). My husband did have a fall in the tub. Hes ok thank goodness but it could have been avoided 2). I did forget to advise I was bringing a dog when making the online reservation. I called after to make sure I still could. I was told yes but what I wasnt told is the charges. 3). I understood the pool may be closed do to COVID but has my hopes up because I also called the hotel to see if it would be open. I was told likely yes. It wasnt. 4). The outside grounds was not kept up. Trash over flowed the cans. 5). The main floor smelled like a cigarette. Likely because the allow smoking right outside the doors. 6). The rooms were dirty. 7). Housekeeping never came unless you asked. 8). I reported all of this to Bonvoy and management. Do I get a call or even an apology ?? No I will never come back to this hotel again and now am wondering if I should avoid all Marriott hotels.

  A Big Disappointment

  We stayed here over the 4th holiday, and should have moved on to another. The room was definitely not cleaned before our stay. There was something all over the bathroom doors, and the floor was dirty. We are elite members, and were told they were at 25% capacity, and no upgrades available. The breakfast muffins served had mold on the meat, so we fixed our own breakfast for the remainder of our stay. Rooms only cleaned every five days, and trash littered the hallways and outside trash cans. There was a limit for the pool, but obviously was not kept. It was definitely overcrowded. Not offered our welcome gift.

  Very disappointed with this Hotel as a Marriott Member I will be writing headquarters. This is a 2.5 hotel. I booked a king suite with sofa bed. The room is so small, that when you open up the sofa bed you can't get out of both side of the bed because the sofa bed blocks you in. The sink was stopping up, the didnt work, I wash cloth when I booked for 3 people in the room. I will never book here again.

  Nice stay until we discovered bedbugs.

  We were staying for one night and initially, our experience was normal. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. Check-in was easy. However, while I was using my iPad at approximately 1:30am, I found a bedbug crawling on the sheet. I took pictures and also killed the bedbug and submitted both to management. They were very sorry and understanding and fully refunded our room. We chose not to stay at the hotel and left.
