  Misleading Advertisement

  There were several things about our stay here that were bothersome: 1) it is in an area that doesn't feel safe; 2) the customer service people behind the counter were not friendly or helpful; 3) the biggest issue, though, had to do with the $120.00 non-refundable pet charge. We booked through hotels.com and indicated we were traveling with a pet (we booked 5 hotels at the same time). At no point were we informed by hotels.com or by Townhouse Suites that there would be an additional fee over the cost of the quoted hotel room fee. When I disputed the fee, the manager only showed that their website indicated that there was a non-refundable pet fee, to which I showed her hotels.com website where there was no such indication. We ended up paying $300 for one night at a second-rate hotel.

  Small rooms.

  We stayed here one night on business. Tv in wrong place. Awkward. Hallway smelled terrible. Maybe due to pets being allowed. We were told lots of FEMA people there and people who hadnt been able still to get back in their homes. Very pricey and not worth it. Small small rooms.

  Fraudulent and LYING MANAGER

  Jenny [-] , the manager, is an absolute 100 % liar......I made a reservation several weeks in advance for a one month stay with a request for first floor accommodations due to my heart condition. On arrival, I was booked for a 3rd floor room, the amenities of a pool, fitness center and breakfast were NOT available and I was never given this information until MY ARRIVAL. There was NEVER an offer for a different room or even on the first floor. . I ALWAYS request ground floor whenever I travel , and if it is not going to happen I simply DO NOT MAKE the reservation in the first place. I was charged for the reservation for not cancelling in advance. The FOLLOWING DAY when I called .. was when I heard for the very first time about a studio apartment. I asked her THREE times if there was ANYTHING available on the first floor. What she said about the ground floor bedroom suite was that she "was not sure when they would be checking out" and that she was "not going to ask them to leave just because I was there". As a RN Travel Nurse, I stay all over the country and have NEVER had an issue... EVER..I will see her lying face in Small Claims Court. TRAVEL NURSES, General Public, Corporate Travelers...DON"T DO IT...Do Not Stay here....any "Manager" that wants to blatantly lie does not deserve YOUR business.

  Quick Wknd Get Away

  The hotel overall was good... I mean its Marriott.. however 208.00 for 1 night is pricey.. but it's in a great location to shop and eat..but not in walking distance to the beaches.. would go back.. but when the rates are cheaper

  False Claims!

  Were do start? Let me say that the hotel was nice. I had a 4 day stay at Town Suites Panama City FL. My wife has been stuck in the house since March so I though this would be great, most of it is during the week, and the kids are in school. We get there on Wed with no problems. No problems Thursday or Friday morning. Friday afternoon and Sat morning all hell breaks loose and no one is wearing a mask. The hotel had a girls teenage baseball tournament going on and kids and parents did not have mask! Grant it there are signs on the door, the website says that mask are required! This is the reason for picking this hotel as myself and wife had not been anywhere because of the COVID-19. So I hear the end of the conversation where a lady with a mask ask Clay Walker(Suppose to be Gen-manager) about people wearing mask, his response rudely, was I can't make them wear them. At that point me nor my wife felt uncomfortable. I then ask my self about the mask policy and was also told rudely that he could not make them wear mask. That only the staff was required to wear them. Now before I talked the this so called Gen-Manager, I saw a cleaning staff lady to ask were was the manager and she nor did I see any cleaning staff with a mask on. Once I asked her about wearing mask she hurried and went in the back to get one. I told the manager I was checking out, as I did that day. Marriott hotels lie about requiring people to wear mask! Once you get there you are stuck. So beware that Marriott is not as safe as they want you to believe. Trip ruined.
