  Phylissa was WONDERFUL!!!

  We were in town for Mardi Gras and this was our first time staying at the Townplace on Canal... what an outstanding experience. As a platinum elite member, we were upgraded to a city view suite. The customer service at the front desk was the best we've ever experienced as we've stayed at Marriott properties all around the world! Phyllisa's vibrant personality and great costomer service was the highlight of staying at the Townplace Suites. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! Hats off to Phyllisa and the entire Townplace team... thank you so much!

  Mardi Gras/ Birthday celebration

  This hotel went above and beyond my expectations from being accommodating with our late check in to our very chic suite. The weather was amazing so we got to enjoy the rooftop sitting area and look at the city during Mardi Gras. Its just a short walk to the French quarter and tons of shops and eateries. Yet far enough away to not be too noisy so we rested comfortably.The front desk clerk was so helpful telling us about popular attractions and even gave us king cakes. Plus this was the kids first time coming to New Orleans so they were pleasantly surprised and excited. The hotel really lived up to my expectations will definitely stay again.

  The ONLY place to stay in New Orleans!

  This was my second time staying at this hotel and it will definitely not be my last. Demetris and Phillis are AMAZING. The level of service is outstanding and I always feel at home when I stay here. The warm greetings, the smiles and the genuine care are just some of the many great qualities provided by the staff. I cannot wait to visit again. Keep up the great work!

  Good but could have done better

  First, this is not in a very nice area of town. Second there is a parking lot next door that says "hotel parking" that is not affiliated with the hotel. They ending up putting a boot on our car when we were 15 minutes late checking out on day 3. We did not park in the hotel lot, which we learned at check in was across the road and down the street (and $17 per night instead of the $20 that we paid) as the hotel was out of parking passes. The front desk agent seems overwhelmed and on the two occasions that I had called prior to arrival to verify travel restrictions/protocols, was not very friendly. The lobby was messy with towels stacked on the bar for anyone who needed extra towels as there was no housekeeping. There was no hand sanitizer available. There was social distancing. The outside door to the hotel was locked and required a key to open and you needed to grab the handle with you hand to get it open - sounds easy but it was tricky and again, no hand sanitizer available. The room was roomy but dark as there was a missing light bulb. Price was good and the room itself was clean but no amenities as other Marriotts currently offer. I would look for a different location on the next trip

  Demetris Brown the so called manager and i empathize on manager, Her attitude stinks just like the sewer,

  manger attitude is very poor , i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay her e ! waste of money and time ! very poor customer service, being from out of time i would never go back her the general manager Scott he doesn't not care about the company name either he doesn't return calls , they will over charge your card hundredssssssss of extra dollars just to make up from them losing from the pandemic. i will be calling cooperate
