  Policy stinks

  Due to hurricane Dorian I had to cancel my reservation and report to work at the hospital. They charged me anyway. Since it was through Expedia, Expedia blamed it on them and vice versa. No refund from either one! They lost a faithful customer.

  Questionable Cleanliness

  Found a floss pick on bathroom floor upon check in. I stayed two nights and the floss pick slept over as well. This goes to show you the lack of cleanliness and housekeeping attention. I wouldn't stay there again.

  Not Following Marriott Published COVID-19 Standards

  Surprised that there was no hand sanitizer or wipes available in lobby & we were handed key cards. We were told there wouldnt be servicing of the rooms & anything needed (e.g. fresh towels) should be requested at the front desk, as expected. We asked if the room had been used recently & were told someone checked out 3 days before. Room looked clean, wiped down, based upon streaks on stainless steel fridge, microwave, etc. since we are high risk for COVID-19, we took the precaution of using our own Lysol wipes to wipe down surfaces, handles, light switches, etc. We also sprayed pillows & bed with Lysol. We dropped a flaky substance on the bathroom floor and wiped it up......floor was filthy! Socks were also black from walking on floors. Breakfast was grab & go but there were none available by 7:45 am. Not a pleasant experience for 2 nights! We were glad to leave. Both of us are Marriott Bonvoy members so we have stayed in many Marriott properties. We expected more, especially at this time, with stated attention to keeping people safe with more rigorous cleaning. Staff were courteous and did wear masks, except one front desk person that we saw but did not interact with.

  Quiet, clean and comfortable...highly recommend

  We stayed here during our visit to the area and we not disappointed. The staff is very friendly. The hotel itself is a great place to stay as it is convenient to I-4 and very quiet even though it's right on the interstate. Very close to lots of places to eat...Ihop, Longhorn Steakhouse, Hooters, McDonald's, Sonnys BBQ, etc as well as many places to shop. Very comfortable beds with nice bedding and pillows as well as clean and spacious rooms with full refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, etc. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area, nice pool and fitness areas as well as plenty of parking for both large and small vehicles or UHauls. Pet friendly and nice breakfast for on the go. Highly recommend this location!!

  Horrible experience!

  My family stayed here after taking our daughter to college. When we arrived around 11 pm there were multiple sketchy people hanging outside by there cars smoking and drinking. The inside hallways reeked off cigarette smoke. When we got to our room it was humid and hot. I was also disappointed and disturbed to see how dirty the floors and kitchen area was. Being a Marriott time share owner, Ive grown to expect clean and welcoming rooms. The bathroom floor was also disturbing. There was a ton of black hair all over the floor. With everything going on with COVID-19 you would think housekeeping would be going above and beyond cleaning the rooms and surfaces! If we werent so exhausted, I would have asked for a refund and found another place, but being it was almost midnight we reluctantly got in bed and went to sleep. If youre in the Lakeland area, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel!
