  Terrible customer service

  We booked the Marriott specifically for the kitchen due to food allergies. Upon check-in we were told that the hotel was overbooked and they were moving us to a different hotel without a kitchen! The lady at the counter was completely unhelpful and unsympathetic to our needs. I called and emailed the manager, and he has yet to respond! Completely unprofessional & unacceptable! Horrible customer service!!!

  Mix-ups got cleared up

  Booked a twin queen room 'cuz I'm a restless sleeper. On check-in was upgraded to a King SUITE. I figured I might be able to work it out, but on entering the room, found it hadn't been cleaned. Went back to front desk and was able to get the room type I'd booked. Rooms are nicely appointed with FULL-size fridge, two burner cooktop, utensils for a kitchen. Breakfast was a bagged affair due COVID and no kitchen staff. Muffins, bagel, apple and yogurt.

  Lovely kitchenette suites near a supermarket

  We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of September 2020. Check-in was smooth and all staff wore masks & were pleasant. The room (2 queen beds & kitchenette) was spacious, new, clean. Nice armchair & lamp, dinner table for four. Good sized TV with cable and Netflix (need to have your own account). Free WiFi. Kitchenette was well supplied (3 pans, cutlery, cooking utensils, bowls, strainer, can opener) and had a microwave, coffee maker, toaster & induction surface with 2 rings (took some figuring out, VERY fast), fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Knives needed sharpening. Nice storage for clothes (drawers & wardrobe). Good sized clean bathroom with full bath, shower and good lighting. The bonus was that its located ~ 100 m from a large Sobeys supermarket so its easy to pick up food to cook. Also near a gas station, Tim Hortons & Boston Pizza. Reasonable gym, smallish pool (both can be booked for 1 hour for a single person/group given Covid restrictions). Hotel breakfast is grab & go due to Covid - bagel/English muffin, muffins, yogurt, fruit, fried egg, burger. Located at the edge of town, seems quite new.

  Dirty Room No Management

  We stayed overnight with children, checking in late. Get to room to find dirty floss next to the bed, dirty dishes in dishwasher. Hair in shower. Dirty finger prints all over the window. This room had not been cleaned. Front desk girl was also housekeeping. She came with a container of Lysol wipes. Told us she was sold out and couldnt move us to a clean room and in the middle of a pandemic proceeded to wipe down surfaces. She agreed the room was not cleaned and put had no ability to adjust our room rate. Said she would leave a message for the Manager. I asked for clean bedding, towels, etc. I told her I wasnt comfortable with her in the room. I cleaned the room and changed the bedding. At 11 pm we could finally put our kids to bed, way past there bedtime. Spoke to the Manager in the morning who never once apologized for the situation. Said he would credit the room. When I asked for a receipt showing that he said he didnt know how to do it. Obviously that raised red flags everywhere. I got his card as I knew he was lying about the room rebate. As expected the room charge was not reversed. Called him everyday for a week. He refused to answer my call or messages. I eventually had to deal with Marriott Corporate who followed thru on the rebate. Horrible, horrible customer service. Would never recommend this hotel.

  Still not a clean room

  Decided to try this hotel again.. hoping it would be better during the higher cleanliness standards now. The check in was smooth and the lady pleasant and friendly. There was no gold member upgrade, despite the hotel being quiet. The room was dirty, just like the last time I stayed here. The window was filthy with finger prints one would notice right away . I was never sure if the sheets in the bed were fresh. One pillow had quite the small and there was hair in the sheets. The shower had hair all over. The hotel supplied shampoo and conditioner was in the shower, half empty and had a hair under the lid. I am not certain the room was even cleaned after the last guest but the bed was made and garbages empty. Overall, the cleanliness is severely lacking here.
