  New everything, great service, pool area needs thermostat

  Great stay. Staff was super helpful and responsive. Room was new and setup for a great nights sleep. My only suggestion is to install a thermostat in the indoor pool area. It was too cold to sit and enjoy much time there. I also wouldve loved it if the pool area had a hot tub.

  Great night sleep & bountiful breakfast

  The location is in a commercial/retail setting. Townplace Suites sits right outside the Rockaway mall. Anything you could want from fashion shopping to restaurants to grocery stores is within a mile or two of the hotel. We love the convenience of having a refrigerator in the room when we are staying for multiple nights. However, they offer most anything you could want at breakfast from waffles and pancakes to sausage and eggs to cereal and toast, so we didn't need the refrigerator as much as other trips. The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. The common areas including the guest laundry and bathrooms were spotless. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and overall the hotel was quiet allowing for a great night sleep. My only negative comment is that the room doors are very heavy. It was challenging to manage the door and suitcases at the same time but I am sure that the heavy door also helps keep out the hallway noise. Overall, a very minor negative.

  Better than expected

  Service was good, breakfast was good and the water pressure was excellent. Gym was a little small but for the price it was expected. I was between giving 3 and 4 stars for this but last night I stayed at a Sheraton and this was clearly better than my Sheraton experience so 4 it is.

  Simply the best

  I was blown away by my stay at this hotel! I've stayed at hotels all around the world and some were Marriott properties. This location could really teach a master class on how a hotel should be run and look aesthetically. The customer service was second to none and the level of attention to detail was unbelievable. This may seem small to you, but I loved that the pool had a lift for people that have impaired mobility. Also, there were signs up everywhere that detailed local numbers for the fire department and the police departments. In addition, the general manager's name was listed, which indicated to me they take pride in this location and want to transparent and accessible to guests. I only stayed for one night, but if you're looking for an extended stay, they definitely have all the amenities you would need to make your stay enjoyable. Everything from a pool, an exercise room, BBQ grills, and a basketball court. My only regret is I wish I would have booked a longer stay.

  Spotlessly clean with tasteful decor

  Newer Hotel is spotlessly clean with tasteful decor. Grab and go breakfast was offered and pool was closed due to Covid. Locally there are plenty of stores and restaurants. Room had a small kitchen and beds are comfortable. One thing to note is how incredibly small the bathroom is. You literally had to slide in on the side of the toilet to get in and close the door. A/C unit was sort of loud at times however the hotel itself was quiet. Had a great stay and would absolutely recommend to others visiting the area.
