  Convenient Location, Nice Hotel but Pool Disappointment

  This TownPlace Suites is in a very convenient location in Mooresville, just off of I-77. There are several restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. The rooms are clean and newer. I love that the rooms have the walk-in showers as opposed to a tub/shower combination! That is a real plus for me. The hotel offers a kitchenette with full size (apartment) fridge and microwave with a sink. Lots of closet space in the bathroom and entry hall. Our room featured a king bed with a full-size pull out sofa. I was traveling to the hot air balloon festival with my granddaughter and the sofa was perfect for her. The staff members were also friendly. the housekeeper ( I regret I didn't get her name) came up to make up the pull out sofa for my granddaughter as my back was sore and I didn't want to strain it any further. The lobby offers coffee all day with flavored creamers and there are some frozen foods and snacks available for purchase. Complimentary breakfast is served daily. My disappointment centers around not being advised the pool was inoperable. When I travel with my granddaughter who is 8, I always stay in hotels that offer an indoor pool because that is what she wants to do all of the time - swim. Imagine my disappointment at check-in, when I was informed the pool wasn't open. I was going to move to their Springhill property across the street, however, they were told the pool would open that evening - it did not. The inspector came and did not approve the opening. We had to get in the car and drive over to the Springhill Suites to use their pool that evening - by the time we learned the pool would not reopen, we had already gotten comfortable in our room and had unpacked several items. Rather than face the tears from the granddaughter, we went to the Springhill for her to swim. She wanted to swim the next morning but I was not willing to drive back to Springhill when we had other things to do. Overall it was a good stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again but I do think they should update their site to say the pool isn't working to give customers an option.

  I seldom have issues with any Marriott property. I find the staff at all the hotels to be friendly and willing to help when there is an issue. I utilize fitness centers and available food options from time to time. Staff is always helpful when asking for local recommendations for food or entertainment.

  Terrible Management, Spiders

  I am normally not the type of person to complain or write a bad review, but my experience at this hotel was absolutely awful. I was traveling for work trip for two weeks. The second day I was there, a random man was given a key to my room and he entered while I was in there. (I'm a 24 year old female.) After trying to reach management about the situation, leaving multiple messages at the front desk, and phone calls and voicemails to the regional manager, I have yet to hear anything back, now 4 weeks later. Additionally, there were spiders in my bed and I woke up with three large bites that required medical attention and antibiotics. Thirdly, the hotel tried multiple times to charge my credit card rather than direct billing my employer, which resulted in my credit card being shut down by my bank, leaving me without a credit card in a strange city. I contacted the desk that my card should not be charged, but it was charged anyway. Even after returning home, I attempted to contact the hotel multiple times about reversing a $100 charge to my card, which I did not authorize nor was I informed about. I eventually had to go through my bank to reverse the charge, since the hotel couldn't manage to fix the problem themselves. I will never be staying at this property again and I do not recommend that anyone else does, either. The fact that I have had to call and leave multiple messages to the hotel and have yet to be contacted by management four weeks after my stay strongly reflects the priorities and the way the hotel is run.

  Another great stay

  Went out there for business and this is our companies go to hotel. Nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Rooms are a little outdated and need some improvements. Great location. Plenty of food options around hotel. Nice titanium elite recognition. Was upgrade to a suite. Definitely stay there again when in town.

  Rooms were great size with full kitchen, no parking fee and lots of restaurants in area

  Loved the room size. Room was very well sized with full kitchen. Great for extended stays. Loved the whirlpool and pool, both worked and were heated and were indoor, which was great for nights that were in the 40's. Breakfast was horrid, just bagged stuff and prepackaged stuff, nothing was fresh or warm...not even coffee or tea offered in the lobby, which is not great since making it in your room just does not cut it, due to cleanliness. The room itself was very clean, and the staff were very nice. I would stay again, except for the lousy COVID breakfast. Great shower, lots of power, and everything worked well.
