  On Campus. Good COVID Practices

  Hotel address is only good for drop off on a busy street. Front door of hotel is in the back of the building. If youre driving, Use these coordinates for GPS or Google Map - (40.1108397, -88.2308957) Hotel was built in 2015, and still feels new, modern and clean. There is a $7/day parking charge as this is right on campus, you just have to figure it into the price for your decision. Good COVID practices: no-touch check in, grab-and-go breakfast, and at least 1 day idling between guests for rooms.

  Another Visit

  Wanted to update my last review: we stayed in room 505 which is above Legends Bar and could hear very little. I was worried because one time we stayed here on the second floor and the crowd next door partied until 3am and it sounded like they were right outside our window--I am not that light of a sleeper, but the students were crazy that night! We requested an upper floor and was glad we did. Very nice one bedroom suite. The only con was that when I went to make coffee, the coffeemaker had a moldy old filter and old coffee inside the pitcher. Obviously no one had cleaned it since the last guest. Ick! However the rest of the room was clean and I felt that the hotel was being fairly covid cautious.

  Using the covid excuse

  Nowadays hotels are using the COVID excuse to save money by removing services offered. Few examples: There is no more breakfast served due to COVID. There is no more room service to clean the room unless requested. All the amenities are closed. On top of that, none of the amenities are open. I understand the need to have higher cleaning standards but that should stop the hotel to offer a good service to their guest.

  Horrible Experience

  Dont stay here! They dont care about you, only your money!! Will use excuse of policy to screw you over! Stayed here and was overcharged a night even though checking out on time. Lied that we didnt inform them on time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

  Well located and helpful staff

  Stayed here for a week in January 2021 when I had gone to drop my son at UIUC. Glad I booked this hotel as the location is excellent. Right on E Green Street next to a lot of places to eat. As COVID protocols were being followed, amenities and housekeeping services were at a minimum but one could request for housekeeping, extra towels, etc and it was always available. Needed to get bulky items like bedding etc shipped to the hotel for my sons dorm. Tammy, the GM, was extremely helpful when I spoke to her a week before check in. All my things arrived early and the her staff signed for it and ensured it was kept safely. Very happy with the way the staff dealt with multiple packages. Jena and Jennifer at the Front Office were also very helpful and pleasant. A comfortable stay. The rooms are decent sized and clean with an attached kitchenette. Would only ask for a better pan in the rooms. Will stay here next trip to Champaign also.
