  **Police Called out for being African American

  My fiance and I travel for work as software engineers. We have stayed at Marriott Hotels often, but have never experienced anything like this. The clerk Terrence called the police on us, stating that we were disturbing his guest at 2:00 AM as we only tried to check-in. We reserved a room but were told by Terrance that there weren't any rooms available. When I questioned this because the app showed several rooms available, he could not explain nor accommodate us. Instead, he called the police and stated that 2 African Americans were at his location and needed to be removed? Sadly, my fiance is not African American! The officers were just as perplexed about the situation as there was no reason for the police to be called as we were already leaving. I will never stay here again and advise anyone who is African American to be careful unless they experience this also.

  Clean and good location

  Came here because I needed a suite with two desks. I called to confirm there were two and was told the suite I wanted had two, but it didn't. Still it had a huge (dining) table that worked even better. It's actually hard to find a suite in most hotels, and they gave an okay price (I called and they gave me $15 off each night). Comfortable bed. I like how it's not right next to Auburn (too noisy and busy there), but close enough to get almost anywhere in 10-15 minutes.

  Breakfast Needs Improvement, During COVD

  Facilities and rooms were clean, although the A/C unit was nosy, and a broken part of the toilet seat, in our room. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was weak, however. Waffles were under-cooked and Omelets were mediocre (the cheese used had very little flavor). Other hotels in the area, are doing a better breakfast, even with the COVID-19 precautions. I would have hoped for better, from TownePlace Suites. This stay was not up to the levelt that were are used to, from this hotel.

  Awesome Week Long Stay

  I checked in for one week under a one bedroom suite, but due to circumstances needed to upgrade as a Marriott rewards member for a night. The hotel agreed to let us stay for a few days in the two bedroom, all to come back and say that we could stay the entire week. The front desk rep, Amber, was exceptional with her customer service throughout our entire time in the hotel. This is literally the first hotel that I have felt this comfortable with during the COVID fiasco. The room was cleaned spotless, and I am a germafobic. Keep doing what you guys are doing with the breakfast under these COVID circumstances, it works really well. I will definitely be coming back, especially since my son is now a War Eagle.

  Filthy rooms if you like that kind of thing

  Rooms were what youd expect. House keeping was NON EXISTENT and Managment doesnt care. Even after asking for towels multiple times, they never came for multiple days. No cleaning for Covid was the excuse. They promised quick cleans every day but that was a lie. Dirty dishes in the kitchenette area. Multiple times Id have to go to the front desk for toiletry refills, garbage bags to clean my own trash, ask for towels (sometimes they had none). I even offered to vacuum the filthy carpets. Im a diamond Marriott traveler so I know the brand is generally reliable and good... not here... big disappointment.
