    Quaint

Had to make an emergency visit to my aunt who lives in alpharetta what a beautiful hotel this is I know with the COVID-19 going on nothing was open but the front desk was friendly and my room was clean so I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again if I have to return to the area

Ashley at the desk needs serious training. She seems to not think much of her job with her attitude

Checked in not too many issues manager was behind lady checking me in she was friendly enough lady checking me in could use a smile instead of the scowl on her face. The next morning I call down as the desk authorized more money on my card. I spoke with Ashley who apparently talks to you like she's out on the street her tone was as if she was arguing with. the comment was "Look im trying to tell you." that is absolutely no way to talk to a guest. Fast forward to check out. I go to check out and she makes a comment about there is no authorization which simply wasn't true. the money was gone from me and according to my card it was pending for towne place suites alpharetta. I noticed a 5 dollar a day recovery fee. I asked what it was and ashley said it was tax. I said no that's tax that's the other several charges on the bill. I requested the manager to call and explain that junk fee. but i think better is to fie a complaint with the attorney general regarding it since no one has an explanation. I left and a couple hours later i get a ping on my phone regarding a new charge from Towne Place Alpharetta. I call back and get ashley on the phone. I ask why are you posting unauthorized charges to my card. her response I made a mistake. Now there was more than enough there to complete my bill. There was no reason nor was ashley authorized to make anymore charges to my card. I said so i suppose im just supposed to deal with your mistake. Ashley then said "Are you done?" at that point the phone goes dead. i call back first time she would not answer second time she answers i ask why did you hang up on me. Ashley plays the game that oh i didn't hang up on you you hung up on me. At which point i scream into the phone at this broad. She hangs up the phone i called back over 20 times because also i had left a bag there Ashley would not answer. I wait till 7 i call no answer still so i get in car and go there girl is in back ironing but seriously answer the phone. i get my bag. I have emailed Arne Sorenson of Marriott and I expect a response but I seriously anyone to look elsewhere because when you have employees like Ashley. You don't deserve business. Mind you this is a place i actually stayed over 300 nights at in 2010but that's over that will never happen again and i seriously have to consider whether i ever want to use a Marriott product again after that fiasco.

Our stay was okay, but they messed us over on the billing

We made our reservations via a third party travel site, and our credit card was charged at the time we made the reservation. Our actual stay was okay, though there were little details that made us wonder how closely the staff was paying attention to details (like a plate with a piece of leftover pizza that remained in the pool area for over two days). The real surprise was after we checked out. At checkout, we received a receipt listing balance due as $0.00. Two weeks later I was reviewing our credit card statement and discovered that on the day AFTER we checked out, TownePlace Suites had charged our card an additional $300. I called the hotel, but the person I spoke with said she would have to research the charge and call me back. That was 10 days ago, and I've not heard back, nor received a receipt or invoice explaining the additional charges. Five days ago I contact Marriott customer care, was assigned a case #, and assured that someone would be in touch within 5 business days. That didn't happen either. I guess that since they already have my money, they are in no rush to respond. So I guess I will have to guarantee that neither TownePlace Suites nor Marriott get any more of my money by booking my future trips with other chains.

No room available for a confirmed reservation

This was the most horrible experience. We lost power for several days. It was the coldest night of the span of days. I reserved and paid for a room. Got a confirmation. It was non-refundable. Just because I knew that it could be busy, I called at 4pm to check. The lady who answered the phone at the front desk did say they were sold out, did see my reservation and assured me that I had my room. When I arrived that evening with my whole family packed and in the car, the lady was rude, nasty, and short with me. She was more concerned about her personal call than me. I sat down waiting on her call and she asked me sarcastically if I was waiting on someone when I was just giving her the courtesy of finishing her call. I tried to give her the reservation number and my last name and she was impatient with me, saying "I got it, I got it." Not a good start and it got worse. She told me that they were sold out and had no rooms. I told her about my earlier call and assurance of a room. She said it did not matter. I asked who was the lady who worked at four pm that day and answered the phone. She said many people where answering the phone at 4pm. Her voice was the same as the person with which I spoke earlier (same attitude too). I was shocked that my family had no room that night AND I was treated very poorly. Finally, she asked me if I wanted to cancel. I said, she would have to cancel since she had no room for me. It is almost like she wanted me to say yes to absolve her of any issue. I said that since she provided no room, she had to cancel it. I wanted to get my money back. If she got me to cancel then I could be out of a room, be treated horribly, and lose my money. I asked for her name (Denise) and the manager's name (Donna). Donna was not available until Monday and we were needing our room Friday. in conclusion, don't trust this hotel. They don't back their word even when one confirms earlier. They lie. They want you to take ownership for their failings. They are extremely rude. Manager is unavailable when needed. Lastly, they don't have any contingencies or alternative suggestions for customers in need. Stay away from this hotel.

    Don't stay

My adult daughter and I stayed here. First off we were assigned an occupied room, back to the desk for another room. 2nd room had a definite odor to it, the hall did too. Everything we touched was sticky, Fortunately we had brought cleaning supplies (COVID) the inside of drawers had red sticky stuff in them including utensil trays, everything into the dishwasher including the coffee pot (it had old coffee in it). There was trash under the kitchen sink. Lipstick on the curtain, stains on the furniture and walls, , drawers wouldn't stay shut(had to use cardboard to keep them shut. There was a random piece of wood leaning against the wall. 2 lights needed light bulbs, The internet and cable service was the pits, I even had to call the Marriott internet office for help (not much help there) Air vents were filthy even in the halls. We even found a cockroach and 2 stink bugs. Why did we stay, we wanted 2 bedrooms
