  Better than I expected

  I was told I was staying in a room above a pub in centre of Hastings. It was the Deluxe King Room, on the first floor directly above the bar area. A spacious room with sitting area & a bath & shower en-suite. Bed was very comfortable & overall room good. The room had single glazing, so sounded like the windows were open as could hear the traffic very easily. Noise from the bar was minimal & not a problem, although could imagine would be different on a music night. The cooked breakfast was very good. It is a practical place to stay as parking opposite in the multi-storey - £5.50 +£1 for overnight - car park is locked before midnight. Other reviewers mentioned the £1 fee was payable by Town House rooms but I was not aware of that, so maybe useful to check. In summary I'm not usually someone who stays in rooms/pubs was pleasantly surprised for its convenience, value & service from morning staff, but not somewhere you go for comfort & pleasant views.

  Hotel booking

  Dont use .I booked on site said pay when get there .. day b4 ment to come wife was taken I'll. I phoned 2 times no answer great to cancel . My poor wife been in hospital still in bad way I'm having struggles with coping looking after kids and run the house funds so tight . I ask hotel not to charge me but yet still took 110 out my bank which now 110 overdrawn as cant work look after wife kids .. most angry . Avoid all cost

  Comfortable stay

  If you come here expecting the Ritz you'll be disappointed but if you come here expecting a comfortable stay you'll be pleased. We had one if the twin rooms which was ensuite. The beds were comfy and the room was a good size and temperature. The bathroom was small but the shower was excellent- very powerful. The downside is the design of the building as you get traffic noise as single glazed windows and creaky floorboards from people above. However it didn't disturb our quality of sleep. Breakfast is included and was a hearty fry up with free tea and coffee. For the price it's great value and very close to town centre and right opposite the carpark which is handy. I would stay here again.

  Town House Rooms

  I have to admit Im not usually one to write a review, however, I could not leave this place without sharing our experience! I have stayed at various hotels/ B+Bs in Hastings over the years and cannot believe that we didnt know about this place. Our stay has been superb this time and we will definitely return. My only regret is that we didnt dine here during our our visit. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and excellent value for money. The staff have been so professional and accommodating. Its certainly a hidden gem!

  Brilliant hotel, very friendly staff, perfect stay as always!

  I have stayed here quite a few times now, and theres nothing I can say other than - I wont be going anywhere else! Whenever I arrive, the staff hand me my keys, give me any information I need to know and are always very friendly! My room is always immaculately clean and my bed is always comfortable. I couldnt ask for anything more. Thank you again for a lovely stay! Also I must highly recommend the food in the restaurant downstairs, Pissarros! The same people run the restaurant, and as always, brilliant service! The food exceeded my expectations and I couldnt complain about anything.
