  Reasonable priced hotel

  Located near sea side nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Well equiped such as mini bar and safe, hair dryer and furnitures. Near to public transport in Karaolanolu area. 10min drive to the center of Girne.

  A good three days

  We spent three enjoyable days at the Topset Resort. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is located down a series of side streets but is right next to the sea with open views. The large room, which was very clean, was on three levels with the bedroom at the very top (quite a distance from the bathroom). There were two usable balconies (front & back) so there was always sun or shade according to your desires. The shower was a little unpredictable.......sometimes cool and then very hot. The swimming pool was wonderfully fresh and there were plenty of umbrellas/loungers for the guests......who were mainly Dutch tourists. The restaurant was very fairly priced in Euros......8 for a main meal and 2 for a beer is not outrageous. There is no in-room WiFi but a good connection around the pool/restaurant/reception. The TV showed BBC World News. Breakfast was Turkish style but with added cake, I suspect, for Dutch tastes. Although out of town, the Dolmash minibus service was incredibly cheap and frequent. All the drivers knew the stop for "Topset". Girne (Kyrenia) was only TL3.50 and Lapta (at the other end) was TL4. I've added a few final comments concerning things that weren't of vital importance but might really concern others. General maintenance is a little lacking with wobbly towel rails, loose toilet seats and the occasional balcony rail that I wouldn't want to lean on. Although the booking website description included a fridge, this was in fact a minibar and there was a very strict hotel policy concerning bringing in your own food/drink. To be fair, the minibar prices were reasonable (beer & wine 2) but the policy gave the feeling of being in a rather stern boarding school........not just our thoughts but also the other guests we spoke to. The large air-con unit was somewhat feeble at a low fan setting but, on maximum power, for the really hot weather is very noisy.

  luxury for modest price

  Beautiful sea view, charming, quite,relaxing and well maintained garden with very nice palms and tropical trees. staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are big enough, modest furniture but very clean. The pool area is very relaxing. regarding meals, breakfast is fine, but nothing exceptional, the only thing i would complain about is lack of bread toaster. the bar is very nice, one can eat good meal with reasonable price. in summary its 5 stars hotel services if compared to the price,

  The restaurant has 2 parts, the main hotel is open 8-2pm, then the beachfront location is open until 10pm. Go for the Turkish brunch. Well priced and delicious, great view and tunes to enjoy. Self-serve tea and instant coffee. Coffee available by order.

  Top Set Hotel is good located in Girne on Cyprus but without sandy beach food is not excelent but good service is fine too rooms are clean enough their live lovely cats family with young everybod feed them
