  Nice level site

  Good level site near the amenities, very clean, easy set up, close to pool and jumping pillow and playground. Nice clean bbq area. Walked around the park and through a back gate to the beach. Would stay again.

  Well appointed cabin but unfortunately dirty

  Stayed in Beachcomber cabin 37 for 5 nights with my daughter, SiL and 2 grandchildren 6 & 4 during second week of school holidays. Cabin is attractive, well appointed and in a fabulous position- we watched whales and dolphins from the deck on several occasions, a short walk to beach and pool. Unfortunately it was quite dirty. Top of range hood was caked in grime, all corners very dirty. Disappointing given the cost. Pool and surroundings area looks tired.

  Family get away

  Excellent beach location, walking distance from camping grounds. Two beaches to choose from, theres Shelley beach to the right which caters more for surfers and is pet friendly and Toowoon bay to the left, which has lifeguards and perfect for families with kids. You have to get up early to watch the sunrise and grab a coffee at 7am when the Cafe opens! Theres a great pool, jumping pillow & playground. Theres cabins (#34) with ocean views, perfect for families with teenagers, its spacious. We have done both types of accomodation- Ensuite #1 its the million dollar view, without the price tag. You wont be disappointed!

  Avoid avoid avoid

  Stay here if you want to be charged $186 to camp on a tiny patch of brown grass opposite a skip bin, toilet block and infront of a derelict van right at the back of the park. Stay here if you then want to deal with the ever so unhelpful rude manager Carla whos response to our reasonable request to move to a better site for the amount of money we were paying was met with the abrupt response that there is nothing they can do and I need to speak to the council. Stay here if you then want to be told that yes they agree your site is crap but that it is your own fault because you booked on their website and didn't call up and they can't move the site you get allocated (side not upon checking our email we were allocated a different site to the one we got checked in on so that's a lie).Stay here if you then by default and gritted teeth get offered to moved to a ever so slightly better site as one gentleman didn't tell them the size of his caravan so got upgraded to a better site that miraculously they had available but they didn't have anything for us to change to 5 mins prior. Stay here if then once getting settled on your site you want to experience the pleasure of Alan the other manager coming right up onto your site and almost into your van no not to make amends for the previous incident but instead to stand there and abuse you for ever daring to make a complaint about your site because once again its your own fault that you booked online. Sheesh their website maybe needs a disclaimer if this is their default response to complaints Stay here if you then wish to stand there dumbfounded while Alan continues to have a go at you about various things that were never even brought up all we wanted was a reasonable site for the large sum of money we had paid which is not an unreasonable request. Stay here if then are not comfortable to complain or say anything else because you don't want Alan to come and threaten and attempt to intimidate you again.

  Needs refurbishment urgently!

  Pros: polite and responsive staff. Cons: dirty bed sheets on the beds. Old and broken furniture including fixtures, tiles, etc (as photos show). Far from the central beach and restaurants (almost 10-15 min drive).
