  Not bad but a bit tired old Manor

  We spent a couple of nights here, which was a great location for us. But the room, like the whole Manor was a bit tired and creaky and in need of refreshing. A bit difficult hauling our luggage up the stairs.

  Surprisingly cosy

  I checked the comments on TripAdvisor only after my booking at Toorak Manor and was quite afraid to go there because of the bad rankings. However, when I came there everything was fine and proper. No noise, a clean room, a modern TV. Tommy was also very friendly. And all this for a reasonable price. Nothing to complain.

  Gorgeous building

  Arriving late on a weekend, and leaving early the next morning we didn't have any interactions with staff but the whole check in/check out process was easy even in their absence. The building is indeed gorgeous and yes, perhaps a little tired in some ways such as the metal in the towell rack clanging to the floor when I touched it (apologies to those in nearby rooms in the early hours of the morning). But the room and bed were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. Suggest the property would look a bit tidier if the rubbish in the backyard was cleared out (old mattresses sitting in the rain). Overall our stay here was comfortable and it is in a desirable location and so it suited our purposes on this occasion.

  Convenient place but sadly a bit tired.

  We chose this boutique hotel due to its location.Our room and bathroom were clean and the room was quiet, despite being on a main road. The room had air conditioning, which was good as it was a very hot day. Unfortunately, the decor and furnishings are old fashioned and there was a strange smell emanating from the wardrobe so we didnt hang up our clothes. The reception area closes at 5pm so when we returned from dinner it was necessary to use the security pad to open the front door. The number they gave us did not work, despite several tries and we ended up having to call the Manager to come from somewhere in the vicinity let us in. It took about half an hour. Not really satisfactory. No, we wouldnt stay there again.

  Outdated and needing love

  Stayed here with my sister as we had an event on in Prahran. The good thing was the location. We checked in after 5pm and it was easier enough. Stayed upstairs in room 12. The whole time we were getting ready the light kept going on and off. We were lucky there was still daylight so we could see. There was a weird smell in the bathroom. The place could do with a good clean and refresh. It was ok if you just need a bed for the night. Only staff we seen was when we handed the key back at check out. The view out the window was off a train track.
