Cosy, relaxing and interestingWe've spent 3 nights here and it was nice. We made a reservation ahead for a partner massage, which did not happen due to the fact that there was only 1 massage therapist there and the massage was nothing special compared to it's price. The restaurant is very good, the only downside is that the staff struggle with English. The room was clean and nice, although we had multiple power outages on a daily basis. Internet is strong, fast and complementary. We were told that the POS system is down but at checkout it worked. Reception ordered us a taxi and overall we were happy with our stay.

Christmas HolidaysThe place is cozy and beautiful (I particularly like their interior designs and the paintings on the wall). The room is nice and clean with a small balcony (depends on room you book). The food is great! We booked a couple massage but ended up having a regular individual massage and the massage we got wasn't worth the price. Keep in mind that I'm from Asia which have great sense of what a great massage is. The only thing is that I wish the hotel would have at least 1 staff that would speak English specially at the restaurant to avoid confusion about ordering food. I had a couple of instance that I was given food order which were incorrect. And I don't really appreciate it when someone messes up with my food. Lols. And on the last night, we just realized that the bread we had been given wasn't the one we'd been ordering the past few days. Well, it wasn't bad because the bread we were having was also great. Just weird that we had been eating the wrong one. I'm curious now how delicious the bread we were ordering but we never had. Haha. Paying bills--please check with the hotel of their POS is working before going as in our case, on our arrival we were told that we couldn't pay with card and the option would be to travel to the main town which is about 25mins via taxi. But the good thing is that on our last day (which is today) the POS miraculously worked and we were able to pay with our cards. Yeah, we were only informed on arrival that the POS wasn't working. We took a bus from Sofia (where we live) to the Central Train station in Plovdiv and from there, we got a taxi. We paid around 28lev from the train station to the hotel. From the hotel to the train station (where you get the bus back to Sofia), we paid 20lev. I'm thankful to the hotel staff member who helped us book our taxi from there to the bus stop (next to the train station).

Poor qualityWe stayed at the hotel for a weekend. We booked a double standard double room as it was offered to us. When we arrived the room turned out to be very small with a little bit larger single bed. We requested another room but the staff refused being very impolite and unfriendly. The breakfast was poor quality. Half of the meals were gone by 9am and additional were not served. The breakfast was until 10 am. The spa zone was dirty. Below the name of the hotel you can see 5 stars but objectively they must be less than 3. The restaurant of the hotel where we had dinner was not bad but definitely very overpriced compared to the dishes served and the general quality of the place. I would not recommend the hotel definitely. There are a lot better places to stay at within the region.

Closed for good?We went there this week (early September 2020) - the hotel was all locked up, looking through the windows there was dust everywhere, empty boxes stacked up in reception, the gardens untended and the entire place was deserted. I assume they must have closed.
