  A great resort hotel.

  My husband and I stayed 21st - 25th Sept 2020 at the TLHCarlton Hotel, part of 4 hotels in a great all-round resort. With a wide range of facilities, like games rooms, fab entertainment , which can be booked every evening. Also there is an outdoor and indoor pool, jacuzzi, as well as a professional gym. The weather was rather changeable, so it was great to have lots to do. We were DB&B and we really enjoyed the food. The breakfast was plentiful and the 3 course evening meal had a different menu every evening with plenty of choice. A massive shout out to Jay the restaurant manager and his team, who gave an impeccable service. We had a few issues with our room, which were sorted out in a professional and efficient manner. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for your brilliant client service.

  Dated and Tired

  Hotel is seriously dated! Rooms basic! Tv was smaller than my computer monitor! Was so funny! Rooms were cold. No heating allowed until October. Bed was lined with waterproof sheets ! Noisy hard and uncomfortable...... most unpleasant. Food was ok and there was a bit of an issue to eat in another restaurant as we wanted a change. One of the waitresses was unable to describe how a tomato was cooked.....most amusing. Big shout out to the spa girls who gave fab massages. Wouldnt go again unless place had a major re- vamp. Came away feeling rather disappointed.

  Girls night away

  I booked a spa night away with 3 friends using a spa finder website. It was very straight forward and was booked very easily. when we arrived we went straight to the spa for our booked treatments, the spa receptionist was a bit snotty and short with us but the girls that did our treatments were lovely. Our rooms were pleasant but very hot, we were grateful for the fan in the room. The beds were comfortable but I'd of liked two pillows not just the one. The tv was very small too. The restaurant was very pleasant and the dinner service staff were lovely. Our food was tasty, but not amazing. We all enjoyed what we had but there is room for improvement. The lady with dark hair working on reception was lovely and helped with directions to where i could buy a swimsuit. The pool and entertainment was brilliant, i ant wait to return with my family. The only thing that really disappointed me was the breakfast. I had the full English and it was very basic, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 2 hash browns, beans, tinned tomato and scrambled egg. Unfortunately i believe they used milk in the scrambled eggs and they were served on top of everything on the plate, making the hash browns very soggy and a layer of eggy milk on everything else. I'd of liked to see more like mushrooms, black pud etc overall our stay was very enjoyable and i look forward to coming back one day, i will just avoid the scrambled eggs!

  stay at the carlton hotel 2020

  We arrived on the 21st sept for 3 nights with the spa package , was upgraded to seaview after a request to the hotel , the food was amazing evening meal was fantastic breakfast was lovely as well, staff were fantastic the waiter David was very helpful and could not do enough for you. Rooms were a bit dated but were clean and tidy. The spa treatments were excellent and the young lady Katie was very nice will definitely be returning .

  One night stay room 205

  Myself ,my partner and her mum have stayed at the Carlton many times over the years and thought we would give it a try since the new covid measures were put in place. I have to say we were very impressed with everyone at the hotel. The receptionist Vivien who we have not come across before was outstanding her excellent customer service skills and pleasant and friendly personality put our stay off to a good start by resolving a small issue with great patience. The restuarant manager I'm sorry we didn't get his name was excellent overseeing that his operation ran smoothly and safely with tables and chairs being wiped down after use, His staff obviously like and respect him as they were all happy and dedicated despite the new changes including wearing a mask while serving guest at their tables The owners and management have obviously worked hard and it shows so well done to everyone at the Carlton we will definitely return again soon.
