  Good Location, Good sized Rooms, Lovely grounds

  Walk up the street and there is beautiful 4 mile beach. Ideal location for us, easy access into Port Douglas's main streets, but far enough away that you can completely relax. We were very impressed with the Apartment we got and it had everything that we could of asked for in it. Very Clean and modern. The staff looking after the property are great to deal with as we had a super early check out required and they were easy to deal with and friendly. The pool area and tennis court are well kept and a good size for the property. Great Fish and Chip shop across the road, and really nice restaurant just a very short walk up the street. Location wise, it is not to far away from an IGA as well if you wish to self cater. We will be staying here again, and completely enjoyed our stay here.

  Would not recommend!!!

  Would not recommend staying at this hotel at all especially if you plan to stay for a few days. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for three nights. The floors were dusty on entering, but the rooms otherwise were ok. First of all dont book this place if you are expecting to have Wi-Fi, because they dont have it, though its mentioned in their website as a facility. We didnt have it for the whole 3 nights. We should have checked the feedback of other people before booking, as later we noted many have complained of this in past, but no action was taken. On the first night the bathroom light stopped working and when we informed of this next day, the man at reception told he was only there temporarily as the owners were away and couldnt do anything till they arrived the following day. As no one came till next day night we called reception again and a different man answered and informed he only got to know about the light in the afternoon at handover and couldnt do anything till the following day. His suggestion was to keep lights of the adjacent rooms switched on, when using the bathroom at night, which anyone with common sense will know that you have to close the door of the bathroom for privacy. We were staying there with my old parents and it was very risky for them to use the bathroom in the dark for the total period we stayed there. (Wasnt fixed until we left). Regarding Wifi, we were given passwords for 3 days (Apparently it is worth $20 per day as per the receipt but could not get connected to Wifi even for once during the stay. There were few routers including the router called Ti-Tree pool but were not able to connect to any routers. The error we got was Failed to obtain IP address which is not usually due to congestion. When informed reception they told they dont know what is going on. All the other places we stayed at during our trip were fully booked but never had a similar issue with Wifi!!!! The alternative they gave us was to come to the reception area (which was about 200m from the apartment) if we had any urgent work done, but he specifically mentioned not to stream anything at reception (As if anyone would do so!) or not to use it for anything non urgent. Any parent with kids would know that kids love some entertainment at night-time especially if you are on a holiday, so it was so boring for them at night. I noted later that the owner has responded to other peoples comments on unavailability of Wi-Fi, saying dont come to the hotel to use internet, but enjoy nature, which is hard to do at night time! Dont mention you have Wi-Fi in your website if you dont have it- its as simple as that , and you dont have any right to say what the guests are to use it for or and not to use it for. Lastly the dryer wasnt working (I had to clean it and the washing machine before using as they both were very dusty) and when inquired about that, we were told we could take the clothes to the reception to get dried, using their dryer. As I had 2 loads, he said second load can be put after the first load and we could collect it next day morning as it was night time. But after finishing the first load, he told they were going to sleep and couldnt do it. On the day we were leaving when I informed reception about the dryer, she said each property at the hotel is owned by different people and they are only managing it, so they dont know what is working and what is not in each apartment so it wasnt their responsibility. Very unsatisfied with the service as no one was accountable for the faults and didnt even make an attempt to fix them. It is disappointing to see the people managing the hotel have only been fighting back with people who provided feedback in the past rather than fixing the problems, which is what a sensible management would have done.

  Great place to stay.

  We had seven weeks here. Loved every minute. Cheryl and Scott are fabulous hosts. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The location is great. Loved the pool. Felt like home by the time it came to leave, sadly we had to move on. Thanks for a great holiday.

  Port Douglas base

  We chose this resort as a base for our 10 day visit to the region. The apartment was well laid out and relatively comfortable. The location was excellent being away from the hustle and bustle of the down, with an easy walk to 4 mile beach. There was a good selection of DVDs. Unfortunately on arriving we spent 4 hours cleaning the unit and even had to purchase a new mop head to wash the floors. There was a lack of towels supplied considering we booked for 3 adults. The unit had no clothes dryer (as advertised) On arrival the DVD unit did not work, nor did the sound bar. ( the DVD unit was replaced ) We had inconsiderate resident neighbors who thought that it was prerogative to use our on-site car parking space. The wi-fi was hit and miss, as was television reception.

  Worst Accomodation

  Dont believe the reviews. We arrived at the resort and was told by a letter that our A/C wasnt working and then opened the door to a mould spore issue. Switched on the TV and it was smashed. Checked out the next day and told management that the ty was broken and was moving out to new accommodation as they were fully booked. We requested a refund and was told that we broke the TV. Do not stay there. No customer service and part time management that remain in the office/home and dont want to be contacted. Mould on curtains and bad for your health. On the hood side, Pool resort is amazing.
