    Unusually bad experience

Me and my wife are from Bulgaria. We spent 7 nights in this hotel in June 2014. We were amazed by: - the bad attitude of the staff to us. The breakfast is from 7:30 till 10:00 AM, but when we entered the restaurant in 8:30, we found no food. It was empty. One unfriendly girl fron the staff told us with commanding voice, that "the food has finished, because the ones before us ate everithing". Amazing! The staff didn't care that we had paid for breakfast and didn't have it. They were trying to kick us off from the reastaurant. After a great scandal and involvement of the our tour operator representative, the problem was solved and for the next 6 breakfasts the food was supplied constatntly from 7:30 till 10:00. - the discrimination attitude of the staff at the beach. The first and the second row of beds were reserved for "first class guests"- mostly locals. Even when the front beds were empty for the whole day, we weren't allowed to use them - they were reserved for the local "arian race" tourists. Amazingly, this kind of discrimination happens in the 21st century, in a country in the EU, against tourists from other member state of the E; - The same kind of dicrimination happened in the restaurant. Our Bulgarian group as a rule was put in the worst possible rear tables, although the front tables having sea view were empty. - The portions were smallest possible. We used to leave the restaurant hungry after dinner. As a whole, we were treated like jews in Germany in 1930-s. Shame on the Italians!

    Glory days a distant memory

This hotel, clearly a jewel in a distant era, fails to reach standard of a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. On the downside...rooms are shabby and in need of renovation...a shower curtain and fridge bar (hello 1970s) say it all (see photos!), small food portions (at lunch and dinner - ample breakfast choice) particularly if you opt for fish and an apoplexy-inducing, snail-like wi-fi reminiscent of a dial up connection and certainly unpardonable in a 4 star hotel in 2014. In favour of the hotel is its location which is excellent, well-kept beach and friendly staff....great traits but insufficient to warrant a 4 star rating and the cost of the rooms.

    Nice seaside stay

The hotel is very nice, but a little dated. All in all, we enjoyed the view of the sea, and the fact that restaurants and stores were nearby. The Red House gelataria was right across the street, and a very nice restaurant, the Spagnola, was only a short walk. Also, if you just want a pizza to go, there is a good place next to the gelataria.

    Very Poor

This hotel may have been 4 stars when it was first constructed but it is far from that now. It looks like nothing has been maintained since it was new. We specifically booked a hotel with air conditioning and wifi as those are two things important to us. We arrived and checked in and after the first very warm night we asked them why the air conditioning wasnt cooling and they informed us that they knew it was broken and it should be working again next week. Absolutely unacceptable. I was sold a room A/C and then all they had to do was tell me at checkin and I would have cancelled and found other accommodations. The WiFi signal was so weak that you couldnt even send an e-mail unless you sit but the bar outside. The beach area was nice, but the hotel was really lacking in many ways. I have attached photos of the the holes in the plumbing fixtures and condition on the walls in the room. This place needs a complete overhaul. Also, the restaurant quality was very poor. They did offer us a 20% credit for the lack of AC but we really couldnt be in our room at all during the day since it was such a hot box, so it was essentially useless to us.
