Cosy ComfortsI had a day trip to London planned and wanted to stay somewhere overnight before and after. I normally opt for a Premier Inn, but found Tinkers Furze on a Google search, and I'm so glad I booked it. Cosy room with the most amazing shower, plus a lovely comfy bed. Very quiet as room overlooked the garden, so no road noise or light pollution. Bright and airy dining room that looks out on to the garden. Breakfast choice included full english as expected, but I opted for cereal, toast and tea - all of which were pleasant. Located a 20 minute walk from Fleet Station which was perfect, as station parking looked packed to say the least. Would definitely book again as Tinkers Furze is a real gem, that has the heart and soul that the chains sadly lack.

Absolutely fabulousStayed for two nights in a room for 3 people and also had family in a room for two . What a lovely place the rooms were very clean the showers were amazing the balcony overlooking the garden was an added bonus. The full English breakfast was delicious with lots of freshly made coffee we ate outside looking at the lovely garden. Nothing was to much trouble for the lovely Jennie who was welcoming from beginning to end of our stay . When we come back for the next family event we will be heading straight to Tinkers Furze with out a doubt. Five very happy Welsh people.

Not very cleanHaving read the reviews, I was all set to enjoy my stay here. It didn't start well, as I waited outside the house for half an hour, knocking, ringing the bell and phoning, before I was let in. The owner had forgotten what time I said I was going to arrive and was in the garden. Later the same evening I heard another guest knocking, ringing and phoning for 20 minutes before he was let in. I happened to speak to him later, and he said that he was also told that she was in the garden. That's just not good enough. My abiding memory of the house is that it's just not clean. The carpet in my room was stained and hadn't been vacuumed, the skirting boards were thick with dust and the walls were dirty (the sort of dirt that would easily come off with a damp cloth). Even the coaster on the bedside table was thick with dust all the way around the edges. The bathroom was nice - having both a pedestal bath and a shower and there was an interesting-looking plant adorning the bathroom. However the basin hadn't been cleaned properly, with someone else's hairs in it. There was no shaver socket in the bathroom. The TV in my room didn't work - I got the message that there was no signal. On the plus side, shampoo and conditioner were supplied (although no soap for the basin), and the exterior of the house was well lit at night, with security lights. It's off the main road and there's no noise from traffic. I won't be going back.

Do not be misled, a very ridiculous placeI read the reviews before booking and I want to make it clear to people. This place is very dirty, very untidy and looks nothing like the pictures. The room had not been cleaned, the floor had not been vacuumed. There was even dust on the tops of sockets and bits of paper and rubbish on the floor. I wish I had taken pictures because it was unreal. The bathroom was dirty- period. I actually checked for cleaning products in the cupboard so i could clean for myself. The pillows were flat because they were too old. How much is a pillow for a paying guest? £6 for a pair from asda for goodness sake. The ironing board cover was so dingy and soiled- again how much does it cost to replace it. The iron kept shedding dried limescale all over my silk blouse so I didnt bother with it anymore. The cupboard where I had to fetch them from was a dumping ground for towels, bits of old soaps and radox bottles covered in dust. This is where the guest towels were coming from! The cupboard was ridiculously untidy- how could guests be allowed to see that? How old are those bathrobes for goodness sake? Even the floor mat for the bathroom was just too old and worn out. These things dont cost that much to replace especially as people are paying to lodge. The cupboard in the bedroom was messy and dirty. The room was dingy. I dont understand the reviews this place is getting. Where we stayed is NOT what is pictured at all. We decided not to eat the breakfast because of the state of the place. You dont greet new guests with a large dog by your side because its unprofessional and dangerous if the person has an allergy. Your guests are members of the public not friends and family. Get to know them a little first before unleashing a dog on them and unleashing dirty and untidy premises. We were so dissatisfied and disappointed but thank God is was only a 1 night stay. We left before 8am even though we had intended to eat their breakfast at 8.45am and check out around 10am. We went to eat breakfast elsewhere. I understand that running a business independently is hard, times are hard in the UK. But the paying guests also have their personal difficulties. If you cannot clean get some help to do it. Think outside the box if money is tight so that your patrons are not inconvenienced simply because they chose your establishment over others. For an extra £20 I could have booked a serviced apartment and I sincerely regret following the previous reviews and booking this place. I will not come again, that is for sure.
