Art deco next to the passegiataAll of viareggio is in the art deco style bilt and males it a lovley promenade. We stayed in villa tina, which has superb stained glass windows and lovely rooms. We paid for a sea view and it was worth it - every evening we watched the sun set and the people strolling along the passegiata. The hotel is close to all amenities, and also offers sunbeds and bike rental ( all at extra costs). We didnt pay for breakfast as we normal go out for a coffee and a dolce, just like the italians, and we found a lovely cafe. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Certainly would stay there again!

Lovely hotel, very nice, helpful and understanding staff, right near the beach! This hotel is very nice and in a classic Italian Villa style. We had a double room very big, tall ceilings and looking right on to the beach. Only issue with this is that the road is obviously outside the window and this room was on the 1st floor. The road was fairly busy and we found it very difficult to sleep the 1st night. We knew it was by a road when we booked but hoped it would not be too busy except it does often have traffic and we found it to be too loud in the room. After the 1st night we spoke to the staff at reception and they were very helpful, they could not of been more accommodating there was another room available the next day so after the 2nd night (we stayed for 8 nights) we moved to a new room, this time that had a balcony so that was great, it was on the 2nd floor, facing away from the road but you still had a great view of the sea. Moving to the side of the hotel and on the 2nd floor made all the difference it was so much better. We hardly ever complain so it was really nice to have staff that were ready to help and not make you feel bad for saying something. Every staff member we saw at different times of the day were all chatty, nice, really helpful and made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were good, and the staff on hand will also make any hot drinks that might not be there on offer.

Three amigos visit to ViareggioWhat can I say! From the minute we arrived to the point of departure our stay was magnificent. Everyone we were to meet could not have been any more helpful. Our rooms were on the second floor with side sea view.... the sunsets amazing. The breakfast, cleanliness, facilities, ambience and owners/staff helped make this an excellent and memorable holiday. The location is great for bus or train connections or for simple town to town visits. Its location on the promenade makes for an easy walk and adds to any shopping opportunities. Lovely clean beach and plenty restaurants to choose from. Our first time to this town but certainly not our last. Villa Tina is and will remain in our hearts.

Charming and very pleasantBeautiful and charming hotel with a great location and personal treatment from the charming staff. We stayed here for just one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had in Italy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to visit Viareggio.

Good but not all as photos portrayedHad a lovely stay at Villa Tina but was dissatisfied at being in the 1960s Extension ( where most of the standard rooms are). We had felt quite excited at the prospect of staying in the advertised art decor hotel. But when we were shown our room ( standard double with sea view), we were disappointed. We were in a little box ( very limited space) in the 1960s extension. We did have a sea view but tbh struggled with the limited space as we stayed 6 days. The older part of the hotel is indeed beautiful and has the most stunning stain glass decor. The breakfast was adequate but does consist of a lot of sweet cakes and some days these didnt seem as fresh as they could have been. This said, most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Things to be aware of: The arrangement with the beach is not straight forward. When we booked we were asked if we needed beach access. Well of course! So we paid for what we thought was beach access with sunbeds. Unfortunately its not all inclusive. We arrived on the beach expecting sunbeds but were told we had to pay extra for this. On streetcar parking with a cost and limited space. Pluses; helpful pleasant staff.
