  Hotel of horrors

  Where do I start, before considering to stay here please see that many of the positive reviews are clearly fake!!! Okay so no its not advertised as a 5 star hotel but for $140 a night all I expected was a friendly receptionist and a clean comfortable place to sleep From the moment you enter you have to listen to the never ending long list of rulesthat if you break the rules you loose your deposit if this isnt a red flag I dont know what is We got to the hotel room superior sweet the best this hotel had to offer, The furniture was old stained and run down, the carpet was stained and damp, the smell of damp feet hit you as soon as you opened the door, I peeled back the sheets to look at the bedding where there was a lovely hair on the brown stained once white sheets I turned the light switch on and the light was making a zapping noise flickering above the bed, the shower was up 3 steps and through the sliding window then a steep decent down into the apparent spa bath that doubles as a shower, around the corner was the stained yellow toilet and brown tiles The kitchen crockery and not been cleaned properly from the previous guest with the tea stained mugs on offer The bar fridge made a loud painful noise This was my birthday and we were only stopping in the Gold Coast for one night and I really didnt feel comfortable sleeping here I went down to check out immediately and handed my keys over to what I have found out is the hotel manager He asked me when did I check in and I said 10 minutes ago but the room has a strange smell and wasnt clean and I would like to stay somewhere else so could I get my money back He got so defensive and argues that because I have handed the keys over this forfeits my rights to a refund and I should have let him resolve it, I asked what he suggested and he said he could take me to another room and I agreed but then he refused reminding me that I have already given him my keys and now this was no longer an option and that I can now leave We are yet to get any refund or an apology from the hotel So I promised him I would write a review so that nobody else else waste theyre hard earned money on this absolute dump !!!! And this is a real review :)

  Absolutely disgusting do NOT recommend

  The entire apartment was filthy and old. Especially the shower! Which Ive attached photos of! Unbelievable. Bed was uncomfortable and had no blanket? Parking is an additional $20 on top of booking. I woke up to a huge cockroach crawling on me and realised the room had multiple of them, I packed my bags and drove an hour home in the middle of the night.

  Disgusting- dont stay here

  I have travelled extensive parts of the world including remote parts of Asia and this is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The linen was clean but every surface was dirty with even a bloody finger mark on the fridge. I dont mind that it is an old building and the decor is tired but there is no excuse for this state of hygiene.

  Not Satisfactory and Waste of Money

  Not quite sure where to start. We booked two rooms on arrival found outdated and need lots of maints. Don't go off pictures as possible several years old. Not cleaned very well with marks on walls and glass. I know it has been a hard year but no excuse for untidiness. Out front of rooms on balcony's cigarette buts, beer bottle tops and broken glass. Cleaned as much as i could. Near the pool area we found bottles food containers and broken glass and tables left uncleaned. In the pool area the tiles had dirt stains and was not cleaned down whilst we where there. Did report still there when we left. Noise from backpackers until 3.00am in morning. Suggestion from manager we should have read our sign in document. Girls at front counter great.

  Bad deal

  Unfortunately my experience was dampend by a very datet and grungy appartment.Chipped furniture and stains. The portcorcherrre was not managed and road rage occurred. Yelling abuse and 'Flipping birds'etc. We did not stay. Photo's did not match reality.
