Relaxing to adventurous comfortable remote get away BUT BE PREPEAREDI agree that this hotel is like an oasis in the desert. The area is very remote, with few eating and shopping options and the only night life is what you create, so it is an excellent family , boaters and adventure get away. It is in no way like overrun tourist towns like Moab , Vail , and Park City- no tourist shops, breweries, fancy restaurants etc. A great place to slow down and enjoy the environment, family and friends. The largest appeal is to Lake Powell boaters - many stay here, but it is also great for some at least one week of ATV riding, canyon/desert hiking, canoeing or kayaking on Lake Powell or rent some power water toys. It worked for us because we were prepared before hand to have most of our supplies and meals in our room - same as the boaters do - they take most of their supplies with them. The room had a decent refrigerator , but small, so we also used and ice chest to keep things cold. The microwave was fine for making oatmeal and warming stuff up. The hotel does have complimentary 24 hour tea and coffee in the lobby, but no night employees for refills, so you should probably take some backup instant coffee, tea and creamer in case the beverage station runs out overnight. The only eatery while we were there was at Offshore Marina, 1-2 miles down the road but it only had things like burgers, fries, chicken tenders and built to order sandwiches. During our week stay, the breakfast was only from 10-10:30 AM - too late to be of any use to us so we were glad we brought plenty of supplies for breakfast in our room. Offshore Marina also has a small grocery section for basics and the same at the Lake Powell gas station. The on site Adventure Center was very helpful to us - renting us an ATV and phone mapping a route for us for an excellent half day adventure. The Adventure Center is also helpful mapping out hikes and places to put in kayaks , canoes and inflatable water toys. We enjoyed an excellent 3 mile hike to a fantastic narrows in Leprechaun Canyon - about 35 minutes from Ticaboo, the Adventure Center recommended and help us locate. We also had a nice 1.5 hour kayak on the lake one afternoon when the winds were low. If you prefer in room on screen entertainment, the wifi was fast enough for us to attach our computer and stream Netflix shows for our nightly entertainment also there were plenty of cable channels available. A very enjoyable stay when prepared. Other than Lake Powell there is not a huge variety of other activities. After 5 nights we felt like we had pretty much enjoyed all the good, non-motorized boating activities and had a great relaxing, roll your own vacation.

No wifi or phone serviceI would not stay here again due to no wifi in our room. It appears to be isolated to one wing of building as I can get in the hall and lobby. The front desk said there were no more rooms available to move rooms yet I could go online and still see they have availability left.

Won't be backHotel desk clerk was rude, he rooms were clean but no maid service except once in three days but only to empty garbage and change towels, no restaurant on site like advertised. Had to eat every meal at a grill inside the Sinclair gas station. Good food and nice employees but was tired of it after three days. The staff told us to put out our PROPANE fire pit because there was a fire restriction, which there wasn't. We can mark it off the bucket list but will probably find some place new next year.

Filthy placeStart to finish was horrible. Check in staff was rude. And sorry to say could have used a shower. My buddies and I went to ride the trails and frankly we weren't expecting much and that's what we received. Here's the real problem, three out of four left with some kind of rash from the towels. Actually I'm not really sure they had been laundered, disgusting place. We will NEVER return.
