  Excellent pub

  Located by the mini roundabout for Sainsbury's is this excellent English pub serving superb beers and ales and CAMRA friendly. Really is a friendly pub and serves up some good pub food. Won CAMRA local pub of the year 2017 and is well worth a look in, even if just for a pint.

  A lucky find

  Staying in the area was more of a necessity than a leisure activity, but we really had a good time here - it's a great pub, good beer, decent food, lovely staff. We booked very late in the day, which caused some confusion, but we were very happy with how this was resolved (perhaps call if you are in the same situation instead of booking online). The bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me.

  Great find pre Thorpe Park

  We decide to have a meal before going to Thorpe Park (for obvious reasons). And what a treat this pub was. Fantastic food. Brilliantly priced. The chips that came with the burger were something else. The burger itself delicious. My wife had the ham egg and chips. Looked fantastic. My daughter had the Halloumi salad. That looked fantastic as well. Its a Camra pub as well so has a fine array of ales. Brilliant fine and only 1 mile from Thorpe Park. Lucky locals.

  this place was amazing in my opinion, although i didn't stay in the room for long because i went to Thorpe park but it has an amazing breakfast my room was spotlessly clean and my bed was very comfy, i would recommend going to Thorpe park after having breakfast

  Lovely rooms, lovely breakfast

  Gave this place a 4, my room was beautifully decorated, with a lovely showroom adjoining, no fault to be found, a just lovely room. With a good internet connection. Went out to dinner to a nearby Indian, very enjoyable. Breakfast here was cooked to order and extremely nice, albeit with a fairly limited cold selection. Would have been a 5 but there was no parking available which was fine, but it would have been nice if they had said this in there blurb, offering nearby places to park, I had to park, walk to ask about parking, find out there was none and then park nearby and the options the park should be made clear, spoilt the experience, I have no issues with no parking but a guide to prospective stayers about where they can park would be much appreciated!
