  Perfect situated in the city, good hotel

  Rooms are Ok, small bathrooms/shower. Good bed, clean. Service Ok, one Of the women in the reception was very good. The hotel is perfectly situated by the Church. Short walking distance to everything. A bit crowdy at breakfast.

  OK Family Leisure Hotel

  Stayed 4 nights, in July high season with wife and two kids. As we have rather small children, we had two seperate dbl rooms. Two days prior to arrival, we asked to be placed next door, as we had two rooms, which was confirmed and accomodated within hrs. Check in was fast and front desk staff had a big smile on their faces. Front desk staff remained very service minded and attentative the whole stay. Rooms were sizeable, and paint, drapes and interior suggested a fairly newly renowated hotel. Bed was a king size, even in std rooms, with new and modern sockets and light controls on both sides, in total 4 usb charging sockets, and a smart tv with airplay and blutooth connectivity. Bathrooms are ok size, and has double sockets, and a sizable shower built into the wall with no water spilling. On the negative side, the rooms are quite bland, with no decorations etc, nor did it have a desk, which is quite rare... No minibar/fridge or tea/coffee maker either, soap in bathroom and shower are build in wall containers, which all supports a modest/bland line of Thon Hotels. However, considering the price, such bland presentation is what you would expect. Breakfast was of good quality, with high quality foods, however selection and presentation again confirming a rather bland hotel. The only thing which was not to satisfactory and expectation was the housekeeping of the rooms. On one of our rooms, our son found something, which looks like a rotten piece of fruit, on day 3, meaning it had at least skipped 1 full clean downs and 2 over night households. See attached picture. And both rooms was not vacuumed/cleaned to satisfactory on the daily maintenance, leaving sand and dirt on the floors. All in all an experience somewhat as expected, being high season in Kristiansand, this is very good value for money!However, they could really deliver over expectations by being more attentitative on some low hanging housekeeping fruits! Would not recommend for business, but with a very central location, its ideal for a modest vacation with good value for money!

  Comfortable, but simple standard

  Refurbished and clean hotel with comfortable beds. However, there is no "luxury" like waterboiler/coffee, pen/paper, reading light on bed or any art/pictures. The breakfast was simple but fresh. I still recommend this hotel because of the comfortable beds and the localization in the middle of the city center, pedestrian area and the city beach.

  Nice hotel

  This hotel is located in the central parts of the city. Around is several restaurants and coffee shops. Some few hundred meters you will find the seeshore, a nice area. Its a very nice hotel, clean, quiet and with comfortable beds. Staff is service-minded. Even in Covid19 time everything worked good and followed safety rules. In this pandemi situation we had a nice and varied breakfast. The hotel starts to be a litle bit worn-out, but anyhow we had a nice stay.

  More than excellent --> comfortable and excellent staff

  At check in: -I arrived very early to the hotel, around 10am or so. I didn't expect to be able to check in this early -without having to give a totally understandable reason and so on. Oh-no, the smiling warm and welcoming receptionist tells me: -You can check in now, no problem. She made my day and I felt very welcome. During my stay: Well it takes a team of professionals to be communicating closely and heartfuly towards each other. The staff in this hotel do so! They act the same welcoming way between them self as they do towards their guests. + Comfortable bed and also the room in general + Clean and fresh building + The whole team deliver with a sincere smile + Lovely breakfast + Centrally located The day of check out: I asked if I can check out a bit later. -When would you like to check out? responded the smiling receptionist. I truly recommend Thon Hotel Parken if you are planning to book a hotel in Kristiansand.
