  Very impressed

  We are a family of 5 that stayed here for one night. The room fit us all with no problems. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern. The price came with breakfast and we were quite impressed with the variety and quality of the foods. The hotel is near what we considered the city center and across the street is a restaurant called San Marino. They have a great view of the harbor and have quite delicious food. Check it out when you're there! The hotel is not far from Kannesteinen. The drive has beautiful scenery! This was our first visit and would love to come back to this beautiful little to town.

  Disappointed

  Hotel standard was below average, staff was not so service minded. The only thing I found peaking there was the price. The rooms are pretty ok, but comon areas are dilapidated. Breakfast was less than average, and my collegues and me went otherwhere for dinner at night. The hotel kept the doors in reseption area open to the street in the evening. Smokers in the stairs outside made the ground floor smell of smoke.

  Hotel under renovation

  The quality of your room depends on if you are getting an old room or one of the newly renovated. We got the last one and the room was very nice. Reception area was below average, breakfast ok. Located near the harbour and pizza restaurant just across the street.

  Thon have breathed life into tired old hotel

  With my work taking me several times every year to the scenic town of Maloy on Norways coast, the Best Western Hotel was the main choice for travellers, despite its aged interior and obvious signs of wear and tear. However, on my arrival this time, the takeover of the premises by the Thon Hotel group was immediately apparent - the clostraphobic little reception area now made spacious and open plan - smartly decorated- and drafty areas replaced with cosy warmth. The bedrooms have been totally renewed and are now comfortable and cosy. A good selection of hot and cold breakfast buffet is complimented with a free buffet in the evening time of soup, fresh bread and a well stocked salad bar and cold meat buffet. Ill definitely be looking forward to my stopovers in Maloy more than I used to

  Everything was good

  Everything was good. Restaurant was closed after 9 o'clock. Check in and check out was fast. Breakfast was good. Close to the waterfront. Hotelroom and bathroom was clean and interior was OK. Service was good.
