  Heaven Sent

  I stumbled upon this incredible place whilst looking for a place to stay for a night close to Dalaman airport, what an amazing stoke of luck. I was and still am overwhelmed by the facilities of this extraordinary place. This is a serious health experience and not to be confused with the 'prosecco and plunge pool' fad of recent times. There are five pools, thermal and sulphur included set in lush vegetation and windy paths, mud baths, a salt cave and out of this world hammam carved into the side of the mountain. The simple dining room serves healthy food combined with a plentiful salad an ideal combination with what essentially is a well-being experience. The rooms are simple, functional and clean. The staff are friendly and went above and beyond to help, special mention to Denis and Claudia. The guests were mainly Russian who although we were unable to communicate verbally guided me through the pools and treatments indicating how to get the most benefit, I felt cossetted. I am planning a return next year with a group of women friends from the UK for a longer stay. I cannot wait!!

  A little piece of heaven

  Wow, what can I say. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The whole experience was wonderful. Every day held something different from feeding the softshelled turtles in the turquoise waters , swimming in the thermal waters, the algae pools and the mud pool and treating ourselves to oil massages, mud massages, saunas, Jacuzzis and so much more. The staff were all amazing and couldn't do enough to help. They recommended places to visit, helped with the organising of taxis and put up with our struggling attempts at Turkish. We loved it do much that we booked again for October this year. I have never been on a holiday where the staff have been more like friends. We were so sad to leave them we were actually in tears. Claudia, Sinan, Mustafa, Mohammed and Kezban thankyou so much for making sure our holiday was the best ever. I can't wait to see you all again. Tesekkur ederim

  Good value for the money

  While its near airport and u have a sulphur smell from the spa the hotel is a good value stay with nice staff and really tries . I know some people think its a bit run down true but the staff do there best and for the money worth it . If u want a five star pay five star prices lol . Overall I liked it and would stay again

  In the hands of nature

  Location: It is located approximately 4kms from the Dalaman airport. The distance sheerly because you have to go around the length of the airport runway. Technically it's at a stone throw distance from the airport. It is located by the beach. Hotel: It can be easily classified as a 4-star hotel. It is vastly located in acres of land. Many positive things of Thermemaris: 1. It has it owns natural spring pool. 2. You can have the mud bath and soak in the actual volcanic ashes, it soothes your skin and is good for the skin care. 3. You can go hiking towards the beach, the beach is sort of a private beach and its clean. 4. There are 2 large swimming pools. Rooms: Rooms are quite spacious, and almost all the rooms come with a good view. I would prefer a room with airport /swimming pool view on a higher floor. They have a direct connection from the spring pool, meaning you can soak in the spring water right from your hotel bathtub. Staff: Staff is extremely generous, and the good part is they speak English. I was greeted pretty well and was told about the things to do at the hotel, nearby locations and were generous and helpful. Food: Food is extremely good and they have traditional Turkish dishes and has a host of options available stretching from Turkish to English cusine. Cost: It's a budget hotel and cheap considering the services it provides. Cab hires: They can help with cab services. I took a single day private cab for 220TL for all the nearby places, to visit Fethiye and beaches around. Overall, a very good experience, definitely going back for a longer stay. At least a weeks stay is advisable

  One of the worse hotels I ever visited

  I unexpectedly had to stay one night at the thermemaris as I was let down by my car rental company and had no transport to my villa. The hotel communal areas look tired and down market. The room was equally basic. More worryingly there was no bedding provided. I ran down to the reception and was given was turned out to be a single duvet cover (we had a double room...). Trying to take a shower I realised the hot water was not working or not on. Gave up and went to bed. Cant say the mattress was particularly comfortable, and the proximity to the airport means you can hear the planes overhead. In the morning the breakfast did not exactly make up for the lack of comfort. Very very bitter tea (even by Turkish standards), rubbish vending-machine grade coffee, soggy fried bread, rubbery eggs, it was quite a sorry affair, and the ambiance was more faulty towers than luxury spa resort... Last but not least, this place is not cheap! £150 for two rooms, given the comfort was a bit steep.
