  ...WFUL..rude to handicap person.

  I am a greek local from Thessaloniki and the reason I am writing in English is because I want to share my awful experience at thea hotel internationally. We had a wedding at the end of July in Posidi and I mistakenly accomodated my parents, brother and other guests at this hotel with unprofessional behaviour. Both my parents have mobility problems with handicap issues. There was nobody to help us with our luggage, the room was looking directly at the sun (no tent or balcony) and the roomn service non existent. But anyway when we managed to get to the swimming pool and get something to eat, they wouldn't service us because the buffet was further up. I tried to explain that we had elderly with mobility issues and they just wouldnt care. When my wife tried to explain to the manager she was still ignoring saying go get it yourself in an awful way (all we asked was a plate of spaghetti and some yogurt). Added to that the owner of the hotel was reacting in a bad manner saying the have hotel rules that they have to apply. Next morning cause my Dad, has also pressure issues asked whether it would be possible to find a blood pressure test machine. ..the only answer he got was this is a hotel and not a hospital!!!!! Very professional. ..congratulations !!! In general the whole experience was awful, the rooms below average, terrible value for money, you have to walk downwards and up a very steep cliff to have a swimm and the hotel management NON EXISTANT!!! I would even recommend it to my worst enemy. Perhaps, I should sue them for mistreating handicap person and change their attitude a bit!!!

  Again in Thea hotel, even better

  We spent a week august in Thea hotel this year again and had even better time there than last year. Position in the pine threes with nice sea view, good food, calm atmosphere, proffesional staff and very polite and kind owner are the reasons why to go there. Thanks again to the owner who helped me with a problem I had.

  Good for families, but not OK if you look for a quite place

  The hotel was Ok. The best thing was the breakfast with quite good choice. The staff was helpful. The beach of the hotel is good, but small one and not close to the hotel, need to climb many stairs, so not ok for handicapped and elder people. The hotel was full of families with little kids, screaming and running around, so if you need some quite time, better to avoid. For families is Ok, as there is swimming pool and garden where kids can play and have fun. The rooms are with basic furniture and equipment with small refrigerator (minibar).

  I like it

  I have been there for 4 days for a wedding. The place is quiet, clean and not expensive. It is at 10 min walk from the center of the village. Very nice spot. Breakfast was good. There is a near by beach but we prefered to go with cars to other beaches in the area.

  Not so nice stay

  A hill-top location with good see view BUT the access to the beach is very hard via a very steep NOT SAFE path with many stairs. Beach is very narrow and small below a rock with about 10 umbrellas each one with a couple of loungers locked to it. You should take a key for the loungers from the reception. No one told us about this on check in! And afterwards a guy from the staff was very rude to me telling me that I MUST return the key each evening and I will be CHARGED EUR 15 FEE for not returning it. That was not a nice start of the day although no charge was applied! And keeping in mind the beach was empty as most of the guests (especially the elder) were not able to go down and then climb the steep and not safe pathway with many stairs. That was ridiculous as we used the beach each day with a friend family and that's why we wanted to keep the keys for the two neighboring umbrellas and loungers! Very bad experience with this non friendly guy (he was not smiling to us at all although I noticed him smiling to some greek guests)! The beach is tiny and beautiful so it deserves the effort to access it. It has sand and pebbles and good views to Pelion and Ossa mountains in clear weather. Swimming pool is very small. No children's area. It starts from 1.3 m deep and the deepest part is 3 m. Our sea facing room was average with a spacious terrace and nice sea views. Good air-conditioner. Low walls between other rooms' terraces and you feel like you stay together with other guests. Bad smell from toilet drainage!
