    Superb accommodation

This is a small inn. I think it has five bedroomms. I was in a double on the ground floor. It is situated not far from the bar but there is excellent soundproofing. I was there for long weekend but even with a karaoke evening in progress on Saturday I heard virtually no sound. The accommodation is comfortable. There are a few helpful touches, namely, an upright fan, a fridge and a safe deposit. The shower is very effective. The room is clean and was freshener up each morning of my 4 day stay. Breakfast was very good. All juices are kept in a small breakfast table fridge. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The only downside is the location. Although close to town, it is a stiff climb from the town. The walk down to town is however very pleasant.

    Disappointing

Stayed here for one night on Saturday 15/6/19 we were not advised there would be a disco pounding loudly until midnight and it was nearly 1.00 am before everybody left the pub and our room was quiet. Very clean room but very tired and tatty throughout. Just a community pub would not recommend. It is quite a distance from city centre particularly on walk back which is all up hill.

    Not happy

Had a 2 night stay here in July ,our room was clean but being on the ground floor we was woken at 1.30 in the morning by whoever was staying in the room above us it sounded like a herd of elephants.Arrived on Saturday lunchtime and was able to check into are room early which was nice so we decided to have a 15 minutewalk into the town centre and check out the sights ,having seen the sights decided to walk back up the steep hill to the pub to have a couple of drinks and a game of pool before having an evening meal in their restaurant only to be to be informed they were not serving food that night as the freezer had broken,it maybe had but just by coincidence they were having a birthday party that night so we was not able to use the bar and pool table either as it was shut off to the public, because of this we then hadto walk down the steep hill AGAIN to find somewhere to eat had we been informed of this at checking we would have eaten out in the first place. We did enjoy a great breakfast on both days with plenty of choice and good quality, we was asked if we needed anything for our room and we said no but our room was not refreshed on the Sunday. To summarise our stay staff was friendly, breakfast great, room clean, beer garden nice and with shelter if needed, but wouldn't stop again as we could have got somewhere cheaper to stay,it did very much mar our experience of not being able to eat in the place we was staying at as this is why we booked their in the first place.

Stopped off here when attending Norwich v tottenham

This pub/ bed and breakfast is approx 1 mile from Norwich football club and a good venue to meet prior to the game. My brother booked a overnight stay but we were not able too as fully booked. The pub has a car park in front of the building. The pub is friendly and has two pool tables - 50p a game. A decor little old fashioned but atmosphere was good - we enjoyed our time before and after the game

    Really good

Spacious, warm room and a comfortable bed. There was also a fridge and a safe, always a welcome addition. Both the Landlady and her daughter? were very friendly, helpful and efficient. the food, both dinner and breakfast was extremely good and at a reasonable price. I have paid a lot more for food that was no way near that standard. It was a strange Christmas Eve for my wife and I not being with friends or family for the first time ever but not only the staff but also the locals made us feel welcome. The background music was definitely to our taste and we spent a very pleasant evening in the bar. Well worth a visit
