You get what you pay for

The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly but to be honest was pretty terrible. All meat was very very dry and was of very poor quality. Brought desserts over didnt clear any of our dirty plates away. Cheap prices, you get what you pay for.

All in all a good stay at this nice pub.

I went here last July.So I'm a bit late at writing,so apologies. This is a lovely old pub with stables converted to rooms out the back. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced, with all the usual amenities. They also have a disabled one with ramp access and a wetroom. I stayed here during the heatwave of 2018.The pub even laid on an electric fan in the room because of this.Nice touch. I was glad to hear the landlord is a Greenock Morton fan as my father was from there.lol. The pub itself is my kind of place.Stools at the bar, which open all day. With a good selection of Beers and Real Ales.I didnt actually eat here but the food good. And they made me a bacon sandwich for my drive home. Burt St. Edmunds is only a few minutes drive away. And is a nice old town.(But unfotunately,as usual) parking is a nightmare. I like Suffolk/Norfolk counties so this was a good choice.I would definitely stay here again.( I stayed here July 2018 not 19)

Very comfortable and extremely friendly country pub.

I have just spent 3 nights at the White Horse in a very comfortable room with good homecooked food, great ales and quality staff. Made very welcome by all staff and local residents. Barry & Jane (and members of their family) along with all staff pulled out all the stops to make this a hugely successful weekend as part of their unwavering support over recent weeks with the 'Tour de Trigger' event and fundraising efforts. From me, and all who most definitely enjoyed the weekend, a big big thank you!

Good service and food on a busy night

We were part of a large group and we have to say that our pre-ordered meal was served promptly and was very tasty. The bar area was set aside for our group and the conditions were somewhat cramped but my cheese and onion tart for starters and my plaice for mains with an array of vegetables were served hot despite the considerable pressure on the kitchen as the restaurant area was busy as well. The real ale was well kept and my wife enjoyed her wine and the prices both for food and drink were very reasonable indeed. We will certainly be frequenting this traditional pub again.

    Fantastic

Went in today for a Groupon deal. Fantastic food, felt very safe at all times. One of the best meals we have ever had. Was just the right amount of food was not too much. Well worth the money we paid for the 2 course meal.
