  Very nice lunch

  It's off the beaten track but well worth finding. A very rural location between Cromer and Holt just a couple of miles inland from the sea. Ideal place to cycle or walk to. A lovely pub that provides good, sensibly priced food and a good selection of local ales. Would certainly recommend.

  Hope to go back one day!!

  We loved the Wheatsheaf!! The rooms are very nice, rustic with nice modern bathrooms. The breakfast for the lodgers was delicious and the meals in the dinning room were wonderful. The manor house has nice views and sits in a beautiful countryside near the shore. I think best of all, we loved the new owners! They were great to hang with in the pub and make awesome drinks. We all would like to go back to Beckham and stay there again! A real highlight of our travels!

  New Owners

  The Wheatsheaf has great potential. However it is under new management with a few lessons to be learned as hoteliers. Checked in to an apology that half of the electrical circuits were not working. We had no main lights and no light in the bathroom. The first day of two we had no hot water in the bathroom. Whilst the staff appeared to make all the right noises and we appreciate these things happen, no compensation or even an offer of a drink was forthcoming for what was a rather below expectation standard of room. Dinner also was rather hit and miss. The first night my partners main course turned up 20 minutes ahead of mine and the second night it took some persuasion to fit us in, as they said they were fully booked with pub guests. Was disappointing that residents appeared to receive no priority. However they are a friendly bunch and i hope once these issues are addressed they will again have The Wheatsheaf back to expectations.

  Worst Sunday Roast

  This is one meal Ill never forget, yet for all the wrong reasons. The bar staff were attentive and really friendly, but the roast dinners were truly awful. Hands down the least appetising plates of food Ive encountered in a long, long time.

  Super visit

  Really impressed with the Covid-19 safety measures, we had a lovely couple of days, room was very tidy & clean, bed was amazing, had the best nights sleep! The full English breakfast was lovely, nothing too much trouble, the landlady was really friendly as well, went above and beyond when my partner left his keys in the room, all posted home within 2 days! Thank you, will definitely be back.
