  Lovely Getaway

  The Wharf provided us the opportunity to safely getaway from the routine that this pandemic has afforded us. We loved the location and the waterfront view. The resort is close to any shopping needs that one might need!

  Beautiful view, dirty condo

  The condo sits on Lake Hamilton with a great view of the lake. Entering the condo my wife noticed that the place didn't look very clean. With Covid you would think the place would be thoroughly sanitized. The refrigerator had pasta sauce and chocolate ice cream dribbled in it. Tissue paper was on the bathroom floor. Guest bedroom had trash in the closet. Whole unit needed to be better vacuumed. The guest bath toilet had a water leak on the floor. I spoke with the office staff and the wonderful maintenance staff fixed the toilet immediately. The great office staff apologized and stated how difficult it was to get cleaning personnel, people don't want to work anymore now that unemployment compensation is so high. Free newspaper and firewood was wonderful. We will probably try somewhere else next year.

  Spacious and amenities

  This was our first time staying at the Wharf. It was very beautiful and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and our condo was on a waterfall with colored lighting. We will be back soon! Thank you

  Winter reprieve

  Our group of four adults was very comfortable in a two bedroom unit at The Wharf resort. Our unit was on the lower level facing Lake Hamilton with an outdoor patio at the unit and additional outdoor shared patio space facing the water. Recent upgrades to bathroom and living areas made the interior spaces a notch above many RCI resorts that have aging decor. Off-season vacationing allowed tenants to spread out without adjacent neighbors above or beside us, so the unit was very quiet. Moderate winter temperatures gave us some outdoor time and cooler nights made the wood fireplace (with chopped wood readily available at the resort) a welcome addition. Kitchen was small but fully equipped except a little short of utensils that the resort quickly supplemented for our use. COVID restrictions made local sightseeing a bit limited, but no fault of the resort. Overall a quiet and comfortable winter getaway.

  Property needs updating, Need better cleaning people, Front desk very helpful and friendly.

  This is a very good location; the front desk is the most positive thing that the resort offers. They are friendly and helpful. They responded to several problems and had them corrected. The property is older with a very good location. The building is old and needs lots of work. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Oven was filthy and had not been cleaned. Had underwear from last guest under the bed, furniture had dust caked on it in the master bedroom. Jetted tub in master bath has seen its better days. It is in very bad condition. The apartment had not been swept out and some of the silverware had food on them. Some of the dishes did not look washed. We washed all of the dishes and silverware before using. The Wi-Fi is substandard. Barley faster than dial up. The internet TV reception poor due to poor Wi-Fi. Evidentially they do not boost their signal and perhaps other units get better reception. The unit we were in is way past date of updating. They may have better updated units with better Wi-Fi and care. One may want to check out the unit before unloading their suitcases. This was not a terrible stay but it is time that this unit get some TLC and someone inspect the units after they have been cleaned as this unit only had a brush over and had to be cleaned by this renter.
