Great inn, even better hostsWay worth the price. Steve and Christina and staff treated us like beloved friends. Room terrific. Breakfasts, adorned with fresh fruit and presented like a work of art, should win some kind of international gold medal -- and a separate prize for best scones in the history of scones.

The Only Negative Was Having To Leave!I am a bit delayed in leaving my review, as we stayed in early August. We absolutely loved the Whalewalk Inn! We did not want to leave. The Inn is luxurious and elegant without being pretentious or stuffy, and we felt spoiled, even with the spa being closed due to COVID. All of the buildings and grounds are just beautiful! The owners, Christina and Steve, are so nice and helpful. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and a personal tour of the buildings and grounds and facilities. They were present and available in the main Inn when needed. (Which was a 30 second walk away...none of the buildings are far from each other). Our texts were always replied to quickly. They are being super careful about COVID with all precautions in place and masks required. We stayed in Carriage House 6, and it was lovely, full of light, spotlessly clean, spacious, romantic, beautifully appointed, and so cozy and comfortable! The bathroom was huge and we loved our double whirlpool tub! There was even an LED candle provided to make baths more cozy. The gourmet breakfasts were to die for...absolutely scrumptious and completely homemade. Christina went above and beyond to accommodate my extensive dietary restrictions, creating exceptionally delicious homemade, gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free breakfasts for me. My husband's breakfasts were exceptional as well (no dietary restrictions for him). We both agreed she is an outstanding cook! And the presentation was lovely, from the entrees to the baked goods to the fruit, which was clearly so fresh, and high quality. We had breakfast on our balcony due to COVID (although both the indoor and outdoor dining areas looked lovely), and our breakfasts were carefully packaged and still fresh and warm, including the coffee, and the juice nice and cold. Christina prepared our breakfast for us to pick up when we texted her, so that they would be freshly made. We didn't use the pool or gym, but they looked very nice and clean. The location of this Inn is very nice...it is on a lovely road and feels very secluded, but is close to beaches and restaurants and such. It borders Orleans, so access to Orleans and Chatham was very convenient as well as Eastham and Wellfleet. I really miss the Whalewalk Inn and think of it often! We talk about when we might return, and will definitely be visiting again, hopefully periodically. Thank you so much Christina and Steve!

Beautifully decorated and very clean inn with friendly hostsMy husband and I stayed at the Whalewalk Inn in late August. The co-owner, Steve, graciously greeted us on arrival and was absolutely lovely. He gave us a thorough tour of the large and beautiful property and we were delighted to see the indoor pool (and the sauna and jacuzzi, which were closed in accordance with COVID regulations.) Given the ongoing pandemic, we had been very concerned about staying anywhere other than our own home, but were immediately reassured once we saw how clean the Inn was. Steve and his wife, Christina, have taken many precautions to make the Inn as sterile as possible. Everyone wore masks and hand sanitizer was available in several locations. We appreciated the little touches they offered, like beach towels and sodas. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of places for a picnic or to sit outside in the sunshine and read a book. As reported in many other reviews, Christina's breakfasts were truly gourmet, and presented beautifully. Steve and Christina were accommodating, helpful and friendly, and made our stay very pleasant. The only downsides were that the fitted bed sheet and mattress cover kept popping off the corners of the mattress throughout the night. Hopefully, that is quickly and easily fixed. Secondly, our room did not offer cable TV, just Roku. It required you to put in your own Netflix or Prime password to get any decent programming. Since we didn't have our passwords with us, we were quite limited to the programs we could watch at night. Although this wasn't terrible, an inn of this quality should provide cable TV in every room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Whalewalk Inn very much, and would definitely return.

Wonderful hospitality at a beautiful innMy husband and I spent three nights in mid September at the Whalewalk Inn. Christina and Steve could not have been more gracious and friendly. They and their staff have made it a priority to maintain a high standard of safety measures during the pandemic, and that was evident by the cleanliness of our room and the common rooms in the main building. Everyone wore masks, hand sanitizer was available everywhere, and tables were spaced out where breakfast was served. And what fabulous breakfasts were served! Fresh fruit, hot entrees, and scones and muffins were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We asked for recommendations of restaurants that had outdoor seating, and we were quite pleased with the ones suggested. We look forward to staying at the Whalewalk in the future.

Beautiful Inn in great locationIf I could rate this Inn higher than a 5, I would. Christina and Steve are perfect hosts. They are warm and friendly. From the moment we arrived until our departure, they were available to ensure that we were happy and our needs were met. Our room in the Carriage House was beautiful and immaculate. We felt that extreme care was given to maintain a Covid free environment. Breakfast was beautifully served and tasted delicious. We enjoyed our time at the Whalewalk Inn and look forward to returning in the future.
