  Great stay

  My partner and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment (2403) on the 24th floor. What a great, huge! modern apartment. We opted for the two bedroom as these are located on the higher levels, and was nice to have the extra bathroom. The entire hotel was very clean, great gym and choice of two pools. Location is excellent, bars, restaurants and the beach at your doorstep. The views were incredible and the apartment had everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming, with special thanks to Karen for being so great with our date changes and requests :) We will definitely be back to The Wave!

  Wonderful Stay

  The hotel is in a great location because its close to everything you need like grocery shopping, beach. I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and had great views of the ocean and mountains. The pool on lvl 4 is great and the pool/spa on lvl 34 is amazing cause its a rooftop with great views to the mountains and ocean and city skyline. The G link tram system works perfectly if you need to go to Brisbane Airport or Brisbane City. The tram stop is not far from the hotel.

  3 bedroom apartment

  Booked a 6 night stay here in a 3 bedroom apartment, our family consisted of 2 adults and 4 children. Arrived at check in after hours (around 9pm) so reception was unattended. Check in was easy enough via phone and using the secured safe. Location of the complex is great as it is right in the middle of Broadbeach. Got to the room which was on level 13. The apartment consisted of a king bed, two single beds and what appeared to be a double bed. When I booked the room the configuration clearly stated a king bed and four singles. The Apartment was clean and spacious and reasonably well equipped. The next day I went to use the roof top pool and spa. This was a big reason we changed our booking to here (we already had made a booking and paid for a room at the Q1). I had checked the wave resort website before booking and it stated works would be conducted in December on the roof top area. However for some reason works had commenced early and the roof top area was not available. Had I known this was the case I never would have changed my booking. We used the pool area on level 4 which was nice. We also used the BBQ area too. There was some noise and carry on from the weekend which appeared to be from schoolies aged people. I raised my concerns regarding the bedding configuration of the apartment with reception at a later time, and was merely told you should have raised this at check in (which seemed impractical at 9pm when reception was unattended) as we were given the wrong apartment. I also raised my concerns regarding the roof top pool and spa being unavailable, I was initially told that it was still available to be used, however upon going up there everything was closed off. I passed this on and was told ok we will look into it. On a feedback note I woke up at around 5am every morning. This was due to sunlight coming into the room, my recommendation would be to improve the curtains and their functionality so it blacks out all the light. All in all a pleasant place to stay. Was there anything that impressed me? Not really. Would I stay here again? No. All in all I was disappointed after this place had been recommended to me by family and friends.

  You Don't Always Get What You Pay For.

  When you're looking for an apartment on the Gold Coast for an 11 day family holiday with your Grandchildren you search for location, views, amenities and a little luxury. We did this and The Wave met all our expectations BUT that was what we paid a considerable amount of money for. What we didn't expect was maintenance issues, cleaning staff issues and not so friendly interaction with Administration staff at the front desk. On our first night we found the en-suite toilet wouldn't refill and thus wouldn't flush. Also the lights over the kitchen bench were flickering as if their bulb life was expiring. The next morning we rang the front desk to report these issues only to be told, in a firm manner, that since it was the weekend it may take some time to get a tradesman in. After expressing my health concerns about the toilet not flushing she told me she would get maintenance to come up and look at it. He too told us that it may require a plumber and an electrician (to change a light bulb?) to be called in but that as it was the weekend he could not guarantee the work would be completed. We went out for the day and upon our return we found the toilet working but the lights still flickering and they stayed that way up until we left. Poor responses to customer needs. As part of the longer stay your apartment receives a change of linen, towels and a thorough clean after 7 days. Well we got the change of linen and towels but the cleaning never took place. The sinks bath and showers were not cleaned neither were the floors and carpets cleaned. Whilst a few of the front desk staff were polite with happy smiling faces the attitude of the one who I assume was the one in charge was not. Being directed to do something instead of being politely shown how to would win her more hearts. Staying at The Wave is an experience we won't be doing again.

  A Gem in Broadbeach

  Our room was modern, well layed out and super easy to keep clean. Lovely beds, a wonderful and relaxing place to stay. Safe to bring babies, especially ones who are stuck into everything breakable, so child friendly. The requested cot came with mattress and bedding. Location is probably the best you can get, restaurants, woolies, beach are all at your doorstep. We will be returning!
